A couple of months ago, I visited my girlfriend's place in Boston, and I had to get a train back to NYC. We miscalculated and ended up spending too much time in this store. We rushed to get to the train station, but then some crazy traffic started. I was going to miss my train, and then I had to get back that night for an important flight. She proceeded to break every traffic law ever made, going way over the speed limit and switching in and out of the break lane; when we got to the station, I had 30 seconds remaining. I jumped out of the car while it was still moving and began sprinting faster than ever. I saw the train doors start to close, and I jumped forward and stuck my hand in between the closing doors. If we had been 1 millisecond slower, I would have missed the train and my very important flight. Looking back on it, the best way to describe it is the final mission of Halo 3 with this song. My girlfriend is literally the master chief

This soundtrack is really great at evoking emotion from the player. This feels epic as fuck, like this came out of a sci fi epic like dune. And they’ve always applied the music in just the right scenes and they’re always so memorable. Doom is another series that’s really great at utilizing the music to make the player really experience being an unkillable super soldier lol

I still remember beating this game on legendary with my friend playing split screen co-op. My god the rush of my friend driving the warthog and me on the turret was so intense. One of my all time favorite gaming moments.

This songs name, "Greatest Journey", fit so well. A send off to the original trilogy. With two legends making their grand escape as the instillation falls apart around them. What a way to end it.
