Hi nice video there i just picked a kenwood ts140 and it works ok but mine does not have the 7th digit displayed any idea why that would be

Great radio. A tip.. when you se the s-meter resting so high with no transmission received try to lower the receiver gain, ie disable the Preamp2. Reception will improve even more.

De solder all ,on back of board re solder common fault on 140s,great radio, widebanded mine ,works fine on all bands,look after it .it will look after you my friend enjoy

I've had mine since I started hamming in 1989. A great little rig that performs well and is simple to operate. The fan quit working on it so it runs a little hot if I'm on the air too long. Need to find a new fan for it.

I'm on my second 140S. And I love it's simplicity. Unfortunately, that and it's AM mode capability, make it a prime Target for CB operators. Thankfully, mine is strictly a ham radio, as it was designed for that and not the "children's band". The 140S is a pretty dependable radio, and it keeps plugging along... 73 KB4AEP

You should hear how horrendous ham radio has become. Take the Italian echo operators on 11 meters. 7200 in the United States, ALL of 80 meters is a stomping ground of bad words and bad manners. Don't be so hypocritical. Do your research.
