After a year or so, I tried it again, and my body was quicker to tolerate it. Drinking plenty of water helps.

I did get used to the meds. It happened after about 2 months. It never occurred since, even when starting and stopping meds. And even with dose increase. Meds are weird. All good now.

I hope mine works out too eventually. Ive taken mine again for two months or so and it makes me go crazy cause I'm trying to learn how to sing.. Anyway another thing that will affect it getting worse is if you sleep bad! So make sure you sleep well and if not I'd talk to the psychiatrist if you can get any aid for sleep too! Like a heavy weight blanket or melatonin. Take care of yourselves out there!

I am now on Vyvanse as well. 40 mg. Just increased to 60 mg yesterday. No real major side effects (compared to adderall). Although it doesn't have the motivational push for do boring stuff like adderall did. But I am still determining what is best overall.

The VA is complicated when dealing with ADHD. Still determining best meds outside the VA. Currently 15 mg adrl xr is working well for me.

Once you take that step its hard to undo. I suggest trying to find natural or non narcotic remedies before getting on anything narcotic if the desired outcome is to feel like one fits in. They have some newer non narcotic medications available nowadays that might be worth considering. The problem with not feeling like you fit in and medication is you might feel like the more meds you take the more you will fit in and most narcotic solutions are rough on the body a nightmare to get off and awakens a very dependent way of life, speaking for myself when i did get finally get off i felt so much worse than when i first started before taking. The medical system is designed to shove pills in your face because its a business so i went out and found a new system doctors that have a different approach from acupuncture to herbal treatment obviously there is no one size fits all solution i just recommend being open to a wide variety of remedies before settling on these.

I eventually went back on it... very slowly. Am drinking a lot of water. Also I noted to myself that many ADHD meds cause dry mouth. Too bad for us, the effects are more potent. Am tolerating adderall 20mg so far. My body is sorta getting used to it.

I also got the tongue and mouth movements, I thought I was going crazy because I couldn't control it! My tongue and lips got so dry they were cracking. I've been off adderall for a week and the movements have stopped and I'm slowly healing.

Thank you. I can see how that would help create saliva. I learned to drink much more water than I thought I needed. Also it eventually did go away. But lasted longer for me than others. 😊

Depends on the person or if the medication is instant release or extended release. For some, it works fast. For other, it takes a few days.

it does but you have to find the right dosage. I am on 15mg ir in the morning, 15mg xr afternoon and 30mg xr in the early evening. yes it is a lot. yes the dosage is almost perfect. but pls make sure to not ingest anything with vit c while taking Adderall. also pls take breaks. I adjust so fast to it that I do take breaks. sometimes twice a week or if I don't have to take it bc it's a chill day etc.

At the time... depression was the problem. Adderall doesn't fix depression. I stopped taking it until I got my depression under control. Now I restarted Adderall. No major side affects. Side effects didn't last long when I originally started it.

It's adjustable, you can choose your limit and go from there etc.
