Thanks for sticking with the channel! I'm very astounded to say that it has almost been 1 year since I launched this channel for firebuffing! Thank you all for watching and supporting the channel, it has led to so much growth, and here's to a whole lot more of years doing this!

Great pair of catches! E29 looks like an old rig - do you know if it's slated to get one of the new engines that are on order?
@SeattleResponses19 күн бұрын
Thanks! That was a reserve rig but Engine 29 is a 2007 or 2008. They were slated for this upcoming batch... but then it got changed... but now SFD just ordered another fleet of 11 new enforcer engines to be delivered in 2026. No idea when.

I think Seattle's engine specs are some of smartest I've seen. Short OAL in part d/t a short bumper, short WB, top-mounted panel. Practical & safe for an urban environment. Pump operators are more likely to get run over than anyone since they commonly walk around the engine at the fireground & civilian drivers are often ogling the fire rather than watching where they're going. Cheers SFD! BTW, I lived near 37's & they aren't busy, mostly EMS runs. That's why the officer was excited to catch a fire.

@SeattleResponses6 ай бұрын
All of Seattles ambulances, meaning aid cars which are BLS and medic units which are ALS, say “Medic One” on the side because it’s a Seattle Fire led program to provide urgent trauma care before they reach the hospital.

@@SeattleResponsesAgree 100%!! I retired from FD. Would tell my crews that folks like that (oblivious to surroundings) kept us in business. And if I were walking past that station I’d have my phone out recording the rigs and giving thumbs up!! 👍🔥Loved that with doors open could hear dispatch broadcasting box! Thanks for the cool video! 😉

I see the drivers in Washington state don't understand the meaning of pull over & stop. You don't know where an emergency vehicle is heading so assume they'll need to turn in front of you, or stop very suddenly & turn around. Just yield. It only takes seconds to comply with the law.
