I personally prefer the R142 & R179 door chime.

It's the exact same chime; but it might be clearer... Here's a thing about New technology trains (NTTs) unlike the R44 R46 R62 and R68s (which are not NTTs) The R142 & R142A, R143, R160, R160A R160B R188 R179, and the all new R211, R211A, R211S, & R211T have a stand clear of the closing doors announcement (unlike the trains before it, like on the R46, R62, R42, etc, the conductor would say it to the speaker) after the announcement A Door chime plays (Notes are; C#, then A) and there are 2 variations; (in sound texture not pitch) the R142/R142A & R179 have a more metallic texture bc it sounds like the instruments with mallets and keys [some are metal, some are wood btw] Whereas the R143, R160/R160A/R160B, R188, & R211 Have a more electronic sound.
