I just bought a 2013 2500 cummins to build last night! Going from a 4runner to a cummins, i am excited, nervous and a little intimidated. Your build is awesome!

Nothing to be nervous about, it is a great platform. Difficult to compare to how agile a 4 Runner is, but I have not ran into any issues I have not been able to overcome with my Ram.

Hey, now that you've had it for a while. Have you seen any concerns with heat under the seat while it's on? Would you install it there again? Really cool rig BTW!

I like the mounting position, I always have had a concern with heat, but have had no issues. If I were to have done it any different I would have mounted it in my def tank location under the truck. Not so much on the heat concern, but due to noise while in use.

To be brutally honest, being there were limited options on the Ram Platform for swing-out bumpers with tire carriers, when I came across Expedition One, it checked all the boxes and I searched no longer. This bumper has been solid with zero issues after nearly 6yrs. I am very happy with it and would recommend to anyone.

Nice clean install! I’ve got a Viair compressor I’d like to install using this mount. I am worried about heat but will rig up a 12v computer fan to help keep it cool.

I have a portable Viair as well and those do get really hot after long use, but then again they all get a little warm. I think the fan will definitely help, but if I can make a suggestion. If you have a Ram 4 door equipped with the floor cubbies in the back floor board, this could be another option that you could vent and you would never see it. You could even run your quick disconnect under the truck. This would also dampen the sound.

@@SouthBoundExpeditions. Funny you mention that, I was just thinking about that today and maybe replacing the lid with something like expanded metal so the compressor can get fresh air. Or, maybe putting it in the bottom of one of the Ram boxes

Being a Laramie is no different than a tradesman for the air vents. The Battery is not the start battery they are run in parallel to turn the motor over with more CCA

Your batteries are in parallel unless you have a 24v system or it's two six volt batteries.

Awesome and thanks for the views. We try to upload a video once a month and have one in editing now, so be on the look out. I typically dont share our campsites in effort to preserve these beautiful locations. What I can tell you is this site is in the Chattahoochee Oconee National Forest within the Rush Creek Area.

Yes, fits perfectly with the ARB quick disconnect. I cannot say if you were to use another disconnect.

Just randomly found your channel while searching for off grid north Georgia trailer camping (though not specifically for Off Grid Trailers). This is exactly the kind of stuff I was looking for. And I think I saw your rig at Overland East several months ago not too far away from where we were camping with our off road trailer.

Nice build I have the same Ram, but I cant find those Rhino 75" or 76" long heavy duty cross bars anywhere. Do you have a model number or anything? Thanks! Or where did you got them. All I see is 71" which is way too short.

I have the drive reach booster and it gets warm. I thought about putting in the storage compartment behind seat of my megacab but was worried about burning it up. You don't have issues overheating under the seat like that? I'm hoping to get my arb installed under seat over Christmas break and then find a shop to install front locker. By the way i have the same interior color on mine with bench seat to accomadate my manual tranny.

No issues, I would recommend that you mount it in a location that it will receive good airflow when in use.

The place you went is what we locals call White's bottoms. Been going there since the late 70s. Up until around 98 or so you could drive all the way to the beach if you had enough truck. We had a rope swing just around the sharp bend a few dozen yards from the beach where you were standing. There is a deep hole there.
