They are just so good live it was so great in the 90s. Them and the Wonderstuff. Two greatest live bands. Oh and a shout out to New Model Army as well

A mate of ours said the levellers are playing some festival a 5 hour drive south of us . Me and the wife being big levellers fans said yeh why not, got last minute tickets to be picked up at the gate and drove down that day. Arrived at near dark the night before the first day, pitched a tent practically next to the car , got the sesh on and to this day was one of the best festivals we’d been to! Turned out it was 4th wicker man, great atmosphere, no rip off prices , good bands and the levellers were brilliant! We ended up going 3 more times , all good but you could see it turning more popular, more expensive and stricter security. Nothing like that first year when my mate walked in to the festival site past security carrying a six pack of beer and smoking a joint! Had to happen I suppose
