Hi Francis For this custom designed guitar build my client chose Master Grade Top and Back / Sides timbers having higher quality acoustic properties. The custom design and timbers chosen increased the price of this guitar build. The Retail price is $9,250.00 AU. Note: The price for this guitar model may vary and be less depending on the order specifications. Regards Wayne

If my Maton blows up and I got the money I will buy one from you.
@waynejohnson481915 күн бұрын
Lance I would gladly take an order from! However, after seeing how Tommy Emmanuel treats his Maton guitars I think it is likely that your Maton Guitar will keep on keeping on. I'm certain you would enjoy having one of my guitar builds. Wayne
@LanceJapan15 күн бұрын
@@waynejohnson4819 Yeah, it's pretty heavy for a smaller body actually, so I think its built like a tank. I can't really imagine treating one of your masterpieces like my Maton.

Wayne, I am so excited about my LR Baggs Hi Fi Lyric Custom Blend System. My luthier just installed it in my Martin D-18 1939 Authentic. Natural acoustic tones! Your service and attentiveness have been equally outstanding. Thank you!

Wow Wayne, I am impressed. Super nice guitars and I know you have always done everything to perfection in the 40+ years I have known you, so I know there are no shortcuts or "it won't be seen" moments when you build a guitar. Next time I'm in Oz maybe we can catch up for old times; I think I can remember where you live still (No worries I would never just drop in). Give my regards to the family too. Regards Lance.

Cooba ( acacia salicina Is most beautiful than rosewoods , and sounds uncredibly powerful!! )
@waynejohnson4819 Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment. I was fortune to source this Cooba and purchase this back and side set with its very attractive grain features for this guitar build. It is similar to Australian Blackwood being also in the Acacia family and I agree that it has excellent sound qualities. I understand that it grows along the western parts of NSW along the river banks and there is only limited amounts available that are suitable for guitar builds. I still have not been able to find more Cooba back and sides sets for other guitar builds yet.

you might as well go with an lr baggs anthem, it will be much more judicious and it will sound better.
@waynejohnson4819 Жыл бұрын
Thanks for your comments. One of the features of this setup is that the full frequency range for these two pickups is available to craft the sound that works best with your guitar.. Many of the existing dual systems available including the Anthem has a roll off around 250hz that limits the microphones abilities in the warm low mid frequency range. Some systems require that the sensors are glued to the bridge plate. The new Hi fi and Lyric Microphone can easy be removed if required. The guitar sound samples on this video demonstrates a small window opening of what can be achieved with careful adjustments made to the equipment that has a wider range of control available than other pickup systems. The new LR Baggs Hi Fi Pickup System is attached to the underside of the bridge plate with the LRB Lyric Microphone for this Custom Blend System. The LRB's Hi Fi opens the way forward from using under saddle piezo type pickup systems that disconnect the saddle from the bridge and sometimes especial with loud strumming can produce an unacceptable quacky type of sound. There is always room for improvement and I am sure that the development of acoustic guitar pickup systems will continue with more improvements in the future. The important aspect to consider is what ever works best for you is the way to go!
@Ve8g Жыл бұрын
@@waynejohnson4819 OK, I understand. Certainly, the easy remove aspect is an important point ! And what is fine for you isn't necessary fine for me...shure. it's another approch, I respect it. Why not ?

This is a good dual source solution for guitars with a thru-saddle (and won't accommodate an under-saddle piezo), like some of the Martin Authentics.

Nice sound, how do you compare it to X bracing system?
@waynejohnson4819 Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment about the guitar sound. The methods of construction are very different: With a falcate braced guitar all of the parameters are calculated and tested prior to installation of the top's falcate bracing system that is very light to control the three main low resonance frequencies of the guitar. There is no working only by feel and experience to achieve maximise performance from the timber used to build a guitar and produces a louder guitar with amazing dynamic range. The 'X brace system requires careful caving of the top's braces and lots of experience and feel to achieve a derisible result. Generally, a falcate braced guitar has a more open sound and this can be more difficult to achieve with an 'X' braced guitar, although it is still possible to produce a great sound on an 'X' braced built guitar.

You have created what I have been dreaming about. I will set up this system in my D-18 with a thru saddle. I have a first generation Grace Designs Felix.
@waynejohnson4819 Жыл бұрын
I like the high quality Felix two channel D.I. Box system and the LR Baggs Hi Fi and LR Baggs Lyric Microphone guitar pickups. Putting this blend system together in an acoustic guitar has the advantage to craft your guitar sound across their frequency range available from these pickups. It is little more involved to setup your equipment. However, having a much better controlled setup is worth the effort. I think that at this stage in the current development of acoustic guitar pickups that it is too much to expect that theses type of pickups to produce the ideal quality acoustic guitar sound by themselves and every guitar made has its own individual sound that can be crafted with the right equipment connected to it. I hope that your installation of this blend system goes well for you. Regards Wayne
@mnelson56 Жыл бұрын
I completely agree. Can you assemble this system and ship it to the La Mesa, California USA, so my Luthier here can install it in my D-18? Price?

@waynejohnson4819 Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment about the guitar sound. The blending of the LR Baggs Hi Pickup System with the LR Baggs Lyric Microphone works well to create a more desirable acoustic guitar sound for playing with a sound system for live performance or, recording, The back and sides of this guitar are Tasmanian Tiger Myrtle and the top is Carpathian Spruce. The Guitar's specifications can be found by clicking 'more' in the description at the top. Then scroll down to see these details@@vietnguyentas

I loved the Rhodes sound Wayne. I agree it sounds more natural than the Lyric. Even more I loved seeing that WJ guitar again. I still think your guitars are some of the best I have ever played and I will never forget my tour of your factory a few years ago. Nothing but the best for the Wayne Johnson I have come to know over the years. I hope to visit your factory and get my hands on another WJ guitar in the near future. I love the new logo by the way.
