Ooh and you reminded me I did make an attempt at Smaugust. I forgot. You are an incredible person and you remind me all the time when I'm too hard on myself, not always focused on the right things, and that the world is far more amazing really than I credit it for. I think it's too easy too focus on our can'ts. I've probably done that too much in my life (I started getting sick very young.) I have to rewire my thinking. :)

@@AnotherBrainArt What kinda book do you mean? If you're talking about that giant watercolorbook were you did the fossadragon and the sprite, then it's maybe a good idea to make more of that kind in other colors of the rainbow, for example: If you choose red, you can pick another animal from your jar and surround it in flames. Just an idea, cuz I loved the green one. Otherwise you can maybe make a landscape with multiple dragons, a dragon family maybe, and show us how you do landsapes and dragons at the same time. Love your work, just keep going! <3 : )

@@pencilwoods6637 maybe I could do palette suggestion ones where viewers suggest or submit color selections and I draw those out of a jar along with the animal so we have randomness? Could be fun. :) I'm trying to think of things people will enjoy hopefully. It'll get easier as I get more viewers, I think. Did you think of a flower to go with your upcoming octopus? :) The book tutorial will just show how to make a zigzag type book.

@@AnotherBrainArt Yeah, color suggestions are a good idea! I find it funny that you ask me how to help you, I dont mind, I like to do so, but I have far less followers than you. : ) For the octopus I'm thinking to combine it with snake tentacles and a rose asthe flower. That was suggested by one of my friends I'm looking forward to your tutorial. Maybe I'll try it myself. I find it really fun to talk with you. Everytime you awnser, you make my day! Welcome! I'm so glad to have you here and to have the wonderful feedback too. I used to hate pink and now it's in so many art pieces that I create. Popping up all over. I'm working on the next painting for this series.

Since I sometimes fight with the Basford books (pencils make my hands hurt too in those books, so painful,) I think I'm going to have to give this a try. I have Secret Garden and I think Lost Ocean and something else maybe. I'm definitely going to give it a try. I've tried Chameleon markers and they worked great, but I can't remember if that was in the artist paper book or the standard books. I think the pages are just too slick for color to go down well with pencils without all the pressure. I do love the dispersion and patterns always fascinate me with paints. I've been painting some mini dragons with the Qor the last couple of days and that's helping me warm up to them.

@@AnotherBrainArt You're right about the glossy pages which I'm guessing are designed to be hydrophobic so oily mediums such as color pencils could adhere better. I have the Enchanted Forrest and Secret Garden and QoR paints do not bead up. Since I only have the high chroma paints from QoR, I sometimes mix them with other brands and I've seen the same effect. I'm considering buying the synthetic ox gall from QoR which I'm guessing is the reason these paints go on so smoothly. All the best with the coloring!
