Like old times at Bridgeport Orbea would win a point then perfect serve the game out.😊

Joey was the smoothest player ever- he was also left handed.

I feel for today’s youth for not getting to enjoy many of the pastimes of yesteryear, all in favor of soulless leagues with little autonomy among athletes. To be at a Miami fronton on a Saturday night was to be alive.

These amateurs can catch pretty well, when I played amateur Jai Alai I wish we had a 90 foot court to practice on , it's a fine looking small court !

Thanks so much. I was at this tourney, watching from the resto. Sigh... One of the only times, you ever see Solozabal do a fall down rebote.

Too bad the entire partido wasn't available, curious who won. Bolivar always my favorite player. Thanks for keeping the sport alive for those of us who really miss it. Good times!

Orbea opened "Orbea's amateur jai alai" in Miami back in the 70's- 2 hardball and 2 rubber ball courts- it was always full of players and spectators- I had some of the best times of my life there- he would come on the court s'times and play with us smoking a cigar and made that ball do whatever he wanted without even trying, so I became a fan of the sport forever, thanks to him.
