Thank you for the reply. I'm just thinking about an alternative for the time I don't have consistent profits from the work that I make. Artpal is free, but it is limited to originals and prints only. Where do you have the most sales? on prints, or printing your art on other things like t-shirts, cups, pillows, phone cases? @@sharonleungart

Thank you for reply Sharon. So you went with Shopify even though you didn't have enough sales yet to cover the monthly Shopify plan cost or you used some other avenues for selling your art before realizing that you have and have income to be able to cover Shopify costs? At this point I cannot cover Shopify monthly costs with my arts sales. This is why I'm considering different avenues. Also, could you please tell me what works best for you, and from which source you get the majority of your sales? Prints, originals t-shirts, classes, or printing on other objects? What sells the best for you? I would appreciate any information. Thanks again!

@@lodeys Thank you for checking out the video. I went with Shopify with the hopes that my sales may grow with time. Hoping, this will be a motivator for me too. It is still an ongoing saga. I have tried a number of sales avenue and honestly, I'm horrible at predicting what will sell at a market. The audience seems to have different preferences at every market , but I like to try different markets every year- it keeps things interesting for me . I've been enjoying the process and I hope you are too. Sorry that I can't be of more help.

I have a tip! Just recently tabled at my first zine fest and my tip is… bring handheld snacks. As in… food you can quickly pop in your mouth and eat in a single bite that also won’t make your hands greasy. Because if the floor is really active, you won’t have time to step away to eat a meal…!

Congratulations on starting your art show journey. When choosing your preferred venue, I think it really depends on your art style, audience and also work/ life balance. For now, I prefer to stay close as I have alittle ones who like to join for my shows😊 Community center shows are a great place to start for a more local vibe 😊

Business cards are still pretty big in furry cons! I tried doing QR codes with pre orders & such & found ppl tend to not order due to forgetting and/or the internet is just awful in the con space

It really depends on the artist price their items, their genre , trends, venue , target audience and what they have in their catalogue. It is a hard question to answer. I suggest going to conventions with artists you like- and ask them roughly what sales are like.

This is a great piece, well done. I love the art styles you used. I feel like you're right: humanity as watchers on Earth, because Earth may not be our home in the end. You're contributing wonderful art to the world. My prayer is that we don't all just wait and watch, but that we're able to serve others too, moving past our thinking about ourselves, and ourselves only. Like you mentioned: Reflecting sully on our thoughts in our childhood, but as we grow older we realize there's more to this world than ourselves. When it comes down to it we're not the main characters in this world, but all of the creation, and landscapes you base your painting on point to one being. Your videos are amazing, keep up the good work! God bless.

My main issue, as an artist and a seller, is that i just don't know what to say to the people who came across my booth. I'm so nervous to say something weird or something that maybe make the customers leaving. I tries sometimes to talk about my process and my univers, talking about my journey as an artist, but i'm so nervous ^^' It's been 8 years since a began to sell, and i know that after the pandemic, my selling issues were more present.

I get what you mean. For most artists, we are mostly introverts and focus on a crafts. It is okay to be yourself, don't push yourself to be something you are not. Your art will speak for itself. If people like your artwork, they will support your work regardless. Good for you for going strong after 8 years! You've got this!

They've also got Fan Expo Edmonton! It looks similar in size to Vancouver and is also 3 Days. There's two in Toronto - Fan Expo Toronto and Fan Ex Canada. I've done Edmonton and Calgary
