A great tradition. I remember being taken with me brother by me dad in the early 70s, standing in the crowd - I think it was the Chigley one. gulliver is the one I remember the best

This made me cry, We are stuck in Canada, one daughter in Newcastle ( home town) and our other daughter is in Australia. I’ve seen every window since I can remember and it always evokes a sense of joy, wonderment and goodwill. This has been such a hard year for the whole world, thanks Fenwick for carrying on this tradition in such hard times and spreading some much needed happiness

Thank you so much. Seeing the Fenwick's Christmas Window is normally one of my favourite Christmas traditions. This the first year for many that I won't be able to visit the north-east and see this in person so really appreciate this virtual reveal. A Merry Christmas and a better New Year to you all.

When I was a student in Newcastle, back in the early 80s, I always enjoyed the Fenwick's Christmas windows. My favourite was about Santa taking toys to the one eyed children of the green planet, and delivering one eyed green teddies. No idea why Fenwicks didn't actually sell them, they'd have made a fortune.

This takes me back to when I was a child.We had no money for pantoes or big piles of presents but our parents always took us to see Fenwicks window. It was an essential part of Christmas for us.

I have this perfume but I don't really like it...So bad...I'm using it but it never ends...:( for me it is not feminine and it has no relation with Orient...Most people don´t like it. It is a strange strong smell ...The music is beautiful!

I'm sorry but from a man's point of view this is some butt ugly clothing for women all the pant legs are not a flattering length at all. I understand women wearing things for comfort cuz they sure are wearing them to look feminine or sexy

This may come as a shock to you, but not all women are dressing to attract your attention. This clothing is for women, not for men.

Does it work for curvy women? probably not
@nancydrew40256 жыл бұрын
Absolutely! You definitely will find pieces that suit your figure. I'm curvy and petite (5'4"). I find EF tops with some shaping, layered on top of slim bottoms are incredibly flattering on me. You may or may not find the boxy pieces work for you -- it may depend on where they fall. Why not pop into an EF shop or boutique and try on the different styles to get a sense of what works and what doesn't? Every piece is incredibly comfortable and versatile. I'm in the process of rebuilding my wardrobe and EF has become the foundation. Love it!

I dress almost entirely in Eileen Fisher and have been in large sizes most of my life. And at 67, I’ve also had the thickened torso and broadening hip area that often comes with age, even with exercise. Because I carry a lot of my weight in the thigh area, I don’t wear a lot of skinny jeans, but am quite happy in her stretchy straight wool bottoms. I’m mad about the long pencil skirt and generous, easy sweaters and tops. Could go on forever, but can’t imagine being without Fisher. My suggestion: find her store, or a section of a department store or even a reseller and just try on some items to see if they work for you. Bet they will. Good luck!

Toni I have only one EF piece and I bought it at consignment shop 15 years ago...the cut is beautiful and classic but the Italian fabric is sooo stunning. I am lending it to a friend for an August wedding but I have worn it to brunch and probably have walked the dog or even slept in it knowing me.
