It’s uncanny how I come across your channel. Few weeks ago I joined an online book club for classic literature, and came across this book as a must-have and of course it sits in my Amazon cart. thank you!

Interesting that I come across your channel, because I have this book and bought it over 10 years ago and I have yet to read it, it just sits in my library. Now you’ve piqued my curiosity. Thank you for a reminder to read a great book.

For as young as you are you are a very wise young man. Thank you for sharing your wisdom. I am retired, 68 years old, but the beauty of this time is that I have all the Time in the world now to learn from people such as yourself. I too was involved in a car accident in my life in the prime of my life as a matter fact, 17 years old, facial lacerations all over the place when a young girl should look beautiful. Although no one was severely hurt other than broken bones, stitches, it took an emotional toll on my life in various ways. It seems that no matter what experience throughout my 68 years of age, I seem to always refer back to this accident, and that’s just one example of things that can go wrong that can affect your life experiences. But you move on yes and enjoy every minute of your waking life. That is the lesson to be learned through hardships. You may have suffered a broken nose such as we both did in our accidents, but we both have noses to be able to smell the beauty of this world and the food that we nourish our bodies with, but think of those who have lost their noses either born through deformity, or have lost them in battlefield, etc. thank you for sharing!

48 is great. Add the 33 strategies, art of seduction, mastery and human nature now.

Robert Greene is a one of a kind author. But if you liked those books, you'll probably enjoy "The Prince" by Niccolo Machiavelli and "The Art of War" by Sun Tzu.

Would you think it’s a book that I would be able to understand well at 15? I don’t have a lot of experience in books, I read a few but never like this one and english is even my third language too but I seem to know it well enough to read books as I’ve read some in english already. I’ve ordered „the art of seduction“ and „the law of human nature“ by Robert Greene along with the „surrounded by… „ series by Thomas Erikson and I’m keen on reading those, understanding those and improving my own knowledge, as I’ve been interested in not only my own, but also in others, behaviour ,and I want to be able to know all those traits. I’ve also watched LOTS of summaries of all those books and even of all the Roberts books and the „48 laws of power“ seems to be the best of them all by other peoples opinions and they say it’s the most important one but I kinda don’t see the positive aspects in it as it seems to be a really narcissistic book to guide a sociopath into his bad toxic life and I don’t know if it would be possible for me to fully and clearly understand that book in its real meaning and positive side with my knowledge so that’s why I’m asking for some explanations on the book, especially from you as you’ve read it a few times but i will be happy with every reply, and maybe some feedback and guides to my current books and some future ones too as i want to read all the Roberts books but I don’t know if that’s a smart idea and if it even makes sense do to it at this time, at this age and with this knowledge. Thanks for responding!

I absolutely feel you brother! I'm not a native English speaker either but I refused to read it in my own language for 2 reasons. the first one is that when a book is translated, a lot of the context can be misunderstood, especially for these kinds of books. The second reason is that I wanted my English to get better, and this book helped me A LOT because of its complex vocabulary and grammar. I've also read " The Art of Seduction" but I believe that "The 48 Laws of Power" is a better entry to Robert Greene's works. you can read that after this one. I also was about 15, 16 when I started reading this book and let me tell you, I was mind-blown by each of the laws. It also contains a lot of real-life events and history that was super interesting for me because I'm a history nerd. and honestly, saying " I don't wanna read this book because it's evil or narcissistic" is just not an acceptable reason in my opinion. I've been doing boxing for the past year; I've never been in a fight or wanted to be in one, I've avoided them as much as I could, but saying I don't wanna learn how to protect myself because I don't want to hurt people is as flawed as that statement. and let me be real, you need that knowledge more than you need boxing. Manipulation happens every day, the problem is that most people don't know it. But honestly, stop watching reviews and read the book. It's worth it.

@ thank you for your feedback! I’ll read it when I’m done with these. But yeah that’s a great example with boxing I guess it’s better to know more and understand better just to be safe. Would you recommend his others works as well?

Why is this book being demonized when it can be used to protect yourself?
@SaintRakhshani7 күн бұрын
It may be because of the "Immoral" way that the writer is using but if you dig deep, you'll realize it's actually a shield against the immoralities of others.
