I decided on something for my version of herotale. there are 3 notable types of timelines. 1 a hero timeline (this is basically the good timeline, a timeline with the best ending). 2 a tyrant timeline (this is an ending that has aspects of a hero timeline but is missing at least 1 detail, this results in an act of tyranny being required for the ending). and 3 a villain timeline (it is the bad ending, an ending where nothing good happens), how I'm going to do the story of herotale is one of these types of timelines at a time (the hero timeline will show an unempowered mc dealing with stuff in the story and wining the heart of the people. a tyrant timeline will show an unempowered mc gain some power and become someone who is both loved and feared by the people, the villain timeline will show an unempowered mc gain all the power they can and become both feared and hated by the people)

I'm beginning work on the next part of the story of Eldritchdust (I feel like the next 3 parts will be the last ones, mostly because it fits to continue it into divinetale), I'm also thinking of making an intrigue/fantasy related au to help show the baseline amount of power other au's have (it's not through crossovers or anything like that, but rather that they are cannonically the least powerful au in my Undertale multiverse)

i feel like people aren't understanding something about eldritch dust. yes he is the villain and will win in the story (kind of a rarity among villain characters), but he's not supposed to be a likeable character (kind of like the joker in that regard)

1 I believe that player 401 is more powerful than xgaster (rewrite may be powerful, but that's the only real threat he has for player 401 and even then it's only if it get used in the fight). 2 while both of them have there flaws and downsides I'd say that at least player 401 is trying her best to do good while xgaster is hardly even trying to do good and is obsessed with trying to make a 'perfect' au/world to live in but as the ruler/creator of his world he isn't living up to those ideals of a good perfect world (player 401 may be a bit much at times and also controlling at times. However she does have actually good reasons for most of it and has somewhat good intentions for her actions. while xgaster is an evil hypocritical and narcissistic person and ruler, it's clear which one is better to keep around), 3 if both chara's knew more about the truth of player 401 they would join her side (at the very least in this conflict)
