Nice, but I think I would not want the holes and exposed nails (or screws). I would attach it with Through The Roof sealant.

That would work if it dries in time. Remember this is a temporary fix.

At least he smoothed it out! The handyman that my elderly mother hired just stuck a blob of some type of brown filler on there and left; he never smoothed it out. Looks horrible, but now it’s hard as a rock. I’m trying to figure out what I can do to make it look better.

Great video, very detailed. I had the same problem, but just used a piece of fabric and covered it with blackjack as a quick fix. I liked how you reinforced it and also showed how to match the shingles. I will do the same. Also, you should put a link to the tool. Thanks again for sharing.

That's true. Check to make sure your hinge is tightly secured on the door before shaving the door people. Thanks for pointing that out.

Just pay a professional because they can find prolly the cheapest one for a decent price and you can buy a new set and use gutter systems to install it yourself and install it yourself for free and you can install the same system and get it

what is a bit set for? do they replace nails / screws?

A set like that has a variety of bits. It's to make different size holes in any kind of material. On average, the hole is to accept a screw. Example... Drill a hole in a stud to put in a big screw to hang a big TV. Or drill a hole on the building (Concrete) to accept screws to hang a camera or water hose. If you're hanging anything heavy, it will need a screw. It has bits like flat head, Philip head, Allen head, and star bit head. It's just a all round set.

Another feature people should look for in these if they dont go with the very smallest models is anti-kickback to prevent injuries from a binding drill :) Regarding brands: Bosch (the blue ones) and Milwaukee are generally quite good as well
