I must report the sounds of gun shots at around the Catholic school area, sounded to be about .32 or .38 caliber (roughly this locale -27.184939, 151.261544 at around 10:10pm June 25 2022)

Saludos y felicitaciones.

I remember crashing an MGB into the gap at SME in ‘86. Lucky no one was killed. To anyone out there thinking about an army career, you can’t beat the ginger beers. “We are we are we are we are we are the engineers...” Long live 2 troop 1field squadron 2/3 FER.

@rambovic13 - it's all work time. There is team bonding of course, but the main purpose is competition. In week 1 it's Army against each other to choose the best team. In week 2 we compete against RAAF and Navy. 👌

+Donald Duck Definitely Combat Engineer! You won't regret it. So many wonderful experiences and skills that I couldn't have got anywhere else. If you're interested get down to your local recruiting shopfront or call 13 19 01, they can get you in touch with your closest Engineer Regiment for an info night and a chance to meet the guys/girls

Howd you go with battery usage, especially in the cold? Trying to figure out what system I need - 2 (or 3) go pro batteries, power bank, solar charger maybe as even a big power bank would be drained in the cold? I guess it comes down to how often you used the go pro
@jkexpedition98289 жыл бұрын
+SleepySimon I took three batteries with me, but in reality only needed two. Kept one in the camera for use during the day, and charged it every afternoon on a PowerMonkey solar charger. The second battery was kept in my chest pocket to keep it as warm as possible. The third lived in the top of my pack as a spare should the others fail. At night both the third battery and the GoPro itself were kept inside a sock in the sleeping bag. Hope this helps

Great video guys. Stunning scenery. I`d love to do Aconcagua one day but need to build up to it. Have done some 5000m mountains and the cold was bad enough, so 7000m needs some preparation. Walked with 3 Aussies in Nepal, Father and his 2 sons and had probably the best time i`ve had on a holiday. Hopefully you make it back there someday.

N.F.K - All filmed on GoPro HERO2. It takes roughly 18 days to summit, this includes acclimatisation and rest days. You could do it quicker if your body handled the altitude ok. Fernando Grajeles Expeditions do it for US$3550, excellent company and great guides, could not recommend them enough!

Biggest tip I can give is attach 1m lengths of cord (guy line/spectra/para cord) to all peg out points on your tent. Then tie a bowline into the free end, make a loop and slip that over a rock/boulder. Makes a bomb proof anchor and you negate the need to carry pegs :) We used standard 2 burner gas stoves (you can see the gas bottle at 1:52) because of the large group. I normally use a MSR Whisperlite International though. Goodluck on your trip! If you have any more questions please ask away
