Regarding “False Messiahs” you state at (1:56) that “The period leading to the destruction of Jerusalem had many such messiahs”. I find this very interesting but can’t find any historical record of this. What is your reference? I’d like to research this in more detail.
@DoctorZebedee Жыл бұрын
In the first century, there were several false messiahs who appeared during the time of Jesus. The New Testament mentions three of them: Theudas (mentioned in Acts 5:36), Judah the Galilean (mentioned in Acts 5:37) and an unnamed Egyptian Jew (mentioned in Acts 21:38). Judah the Galilean spoke against Jews paying tribute to the Romans and claimed to have a false prophet named Saddok who presented himself as Elijah. He is credited with founding the Zealots. Theudas, around 45 AD, convinced many people to follow him to the Jordan River, promising that it would part for them as it had for Moses, but his claim failed and he and his followers were killed. An unnamed Egyptian Jew led a revolt and gathered thousands of followers who planned to liberate Jerusalem from Roman occupation but were defeated in battle, resulting in many deaths. All three of these false messiahs were also mentioned by Josephus, a Jew who was present in Jerusalem during the years leading to AD 70 and who wrote a history of those horrific events. These are only the false messiahs who are recorded in the historical record. Others likely rose up as is common when nations draw near to their end.

Our horses only need to be told once to go into the barn. Both are 8 years olds. We've had them both since 4 months old. One Shire mare and one Morgan mare..

Hi. Approximately 2 years ago I started reading and rereading Daniel and Matthew 24 and some other prophecies. I have been taught futurism all my life. Approximately 38 years. I just really started seeing that it made no sense and I started searching for something else. I studied Matthew 24 more than anywhere I think. I've always been taken by the 'this generation' vs. ' but of that day'. You are the first person to ever address this. This was very refreshing and gives honor to the love that Jesus has for all of his people and has had since he departed till he comes again, not just some future 7 year time.

Clueless city dwellers got some horses? Horses are to be lead by experienced hands, instead of running around lead by their instincts endangering themselves and other people!

Those horses are beautiful. But what does he mean “ in the barn for the winter “? They don’t come back outside all winter?
@lauragrosvenor27233 жыл бұрын
Sure they do. I put my horses in the barn when a storm is coming. I can feed and water them inside when the weather is bad, and when it clears up they go out again. Horses, as a rule, prefer to be outside.
