Hi.. Can a faulty or on the way out cv joint or drive shaft cause vibration/shaking on the streeing wheel whiles driving above 40mph please. (vw tiguan 2015)
@Aleks_Mechanics10 күн бұрын
Hi. In my experience, yes it can. And the vibration/shaking is in some cases violent (like a death wobble)

Thank you, but why are you using that strange socket attachment rather than a normal spanner?

Can you tell, how much i can safely unscrew adjusting nut? :)
@Aleks_Mechanics2 ай бұрын
I usually adjust it so the brake shoes gently touch the brake drum. And i try to adjust both sides to have the same amount of rolling resistance. (in motion on the ground, the side with the most rolling resistance wil usually lock up first) You want each side to hold as close to the same amount of weight as possible, when you set the parking brake on a hill, for example👍🏻
@Valuiskihh2 ай бұрын
@@Aleks_Mechanics well, i tried to do all right fixed spring under handbrake, spinned adjuster screw so pads touch disc, but it is not enough and i already unscrewed about 1cm, but it was not enough
@Aleks_Mechanics2 ай бұрын
@@Valuiskihh with the rear wheels off the ground, is it hard or impossible to rotate the rear wheels with the parking brake lever engaged? And how many clicks does it take for the lever to lock the wheels?

Great video, thanks for sharing. I tried this on my car earlier but befire I watched this video. I tried to remove the lower bolt without lowering the control arm and I gave up in the end. I will try again by lowering the control arm

Is it mandatory to lower that lower control arm? I feel like you could accomplish this without doing that
@Aleks_Mechanics8 ай бұрын
Thank you for you'r question! It's much easier if you lower the lower control arm, that way you get enough room between the shock itself, and the coilspring, to access the bottom shock mount bolt with you'r tools. Thank you for watching my video, i hope this answer was helpful to you!😎👍🏼

M8 if only it was that simple why didn't you show you trying to get the manifold bolts out and how you have to drop the subframe to get the exhaust out of the way or removing the two egr stainless pipes and all the rest of it your video makes out it's easy when it's far from it isn't it..
