Hey I have a simple question while filing taxes for multiple years in taxfix: * I had expenses as a student during 2019 and taxfix at the end shows x amount carryforwarded as loss. This is their estimate. * when I file for 2020 and at the beginning it asks me "Have you previously filed returns and received a Steuerbeschied for 2019?" * If I say no and fill everything for 2020 at the end the loss carryforward from 2019 is not considered in the 2020 filing. What should I do in this case? Should I mark 'yes' during the earlier question and enter x as the amount of loss carryforwarded from 2019 even though I don't have a Steuerbeschied? Or is this something the tax office will automatically adjust and I can go ahead with selecting 'No' as the answer for the question while filing the 2020 returns?

Hi many thanks for the video. I moved to Germany in 2022 Feb with my wife. I declared to my company as I should be tax class 3 but not declared to finanzamt. My company paid my salaries on tax class 3, but in November I had a warning that my tax class recorded as tax class 4 in finanzamt. I have done the tax class change afterwards. But for November and December I couldnt get my salaries since finanzamt collected income taxes for the previous months from Nov and Dec salaries(including taxes from bonuses) So far I know that I am able refund the taxes but when I filled taxfix forms with Lohnsteuerbescheinigung, my refund on taxfix has not calculated refund of lohnsteuer. Which I paid whole december and november salaries as tax. So do you guys know how to apply for income tax refund with Taxfix? Should I calculate it by myself or finanzamt will do it by themselves?

I have a question: recently I sent the required documents from me as a husband who want ot bring his wife here, one of the documents is "bestätigung über die anmietung von wohnraum" which is filled from the Vermiete and specifies in details the space in square meters the parts of the apartments. the whole apartment is 28 qm so I thought I am good, however the docuemt contains wohnraum = 19 qm , kitchen= 5 qm and bathroom = 4 qm, so I received a letter from auslaendernehoerde that I need to find an apartment larger than this because "reinen wohnraum is 19qm" and thus not enough... this dosen't make any sense to me, please if you have any good information about this let me know, thanks!

Hey, I have a question. I am going to India from Sept to January(As my company allowed to me to work remote for 5 months). So the plan is to get court married and initiate the visa process(Will do the social marriage later). Do i need to be in Germany when the spouse visa process is going on as in some of the cases i heard that a letter comer to the house and you need to go to the citizen office and submit some document or so??
