you are basically correct, but he is not to blame. what I see is the 47x was running middle groove in the corners, 97 was running top groove. as they get into turn 1 this time 47x was going to run middle groove again but then saw lapped cars in front of him and changed his mind to try top groove. 97 had a great run and didnt expect that and couldnt react in time. no second chances when you are running in open wheel class like this. that is sprint car racing.

this video is from last year. he was not in this race last year. he was however in the race this past Sunday in the Sittler Racing back up car that was renumbered as 17c.

RedroomStudios yeah the rad cracked and got antifreeze all over the motor that explains the smoke. And I believe if the cars not on fire and you get out its a fine?

Eric Larmet lol... that is pretty close to being on fire. I guess you weren't getting much of it inside the car because it would have made you choke. I think if you couldn't breathe and you were stopped in the infield that would be a fair time to exit the car without getting fined. glad to hear you already have it fixed!

most of the guys I talk to are getting 875-900hp. these cars weight 200lbs more than late models and almost double what a sprint car does so they arent quite as fast even though they have the same power.

you should buy the dvd from Thomas Video or GSP Video! I have loads of racing on my channel.

hell ya! late models time trial around 110mph here. the sprints do about 140mph! I think Volusia provides some of the best racing too... always seem to be lots of back and forth changes for the lead rather than someone on the front row driving away with it...

yes, you are right... apparently he bought that car from Paul Habek during the off season and the transponder on it was still registered to Habek. really poor reporting by the announcers at Merrittville. they should have been able to tell it was Britten just by glancing inside the car or going over to the pits to check on that.
