Just so you know, this is really not called a private onsen....typically referred to as a hot spring outdoor bath, adjoining to your room. Onsens are much larger. You mentioned the onsen at the hotel, but I gather you can only use the private one if you have a room on the top floor? It would have been nice to see that.

Around 18,0000 yen. Depends on how early you book and the website you will use (Agoda, Booking etc.), you might get a cheap rate . This comes with a simple buffet Japanese style breakfast

We got the double twin which is actually a double single (slightly larger than two twins).
