So no passengers over 5 feet then?😅😅😅. Cause trust me. Over 6 feet and there isn’t enough leg room. So no way that sub doesn’t take away a good foot of leg room.

In fact the leg room lost 6cm from the original position, all the electronics were relocated to gain space, the car already had that aluminum plate bolted to the floor.

What material did you use to extend the top frame and how did you join them? Plastic welding?

Thanks for letting me know. I ordered a spare bezel and Im going to attempt it this weekend. Did you also have to modify the bracket inside the console to mount the radio?

@@Michael__ be aware of the depth of the 2DIN radio, if too deep it will not fit because of the dashboard reinforcement.

Hehe, I found that out the hard way. Tried 3 different radios. If anyone wants to know, max radio depth is around 7cm. 10cm fits technically, but you wont be able to place the back connectors like antenna and usb.

Another thing to keep in mind for anyone attempting this: this car model has the 12V battery- and 12V ignition wires swapped on the ISO connector. Once again, found that out the hard way as the radio drained my battery. The sliding doors are fun, but not when your battery is flat

@@17shakil, HELIX PSIX DSP and HELIX PTWO for the subwoofer. The system must use HELIX SDMI to a seamless audio signal input.

The switches were relocated to the center console, between the front seats.

Yes, remote control on the PIONEER that controls the iPad like an iPod.

How did you manage to fit the Focal Sub under the driver seat ? It hits the seat rails if installed horizontally ! Thanks

With the FOCAL IBUS it doesn't but if it would then you have to lift the seat reinstalling it with longer screws.

Amazing job you did. Do you recommend using dynamat behind the door speakers or is not necessary on the convertible ? I noticed you didn't use it. thanks

Have you made a hole for the ibus on the driver's side or it is already there ? I'm in the UK and the installer says its not possible to fit the ibus horizontally as you did and it sticks out of the seat. Thanks.
