Love the reference to spending time....how about changing the word spending to investing?

Well said! Time is our greatest resource and each of us has limited time, so how we spend our time is definitely an important investment!

the book you introduced me to that changed my life..7Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen R. Covey. Now I have some new ones to add to my summer reading!

@@winharwood Me too..I keep a copy by my bed and have since I first read it…I love that it still has the power to help me work through problems and situations.

Absolutely connected with this. I have a complicated relationship with my mother so this day is always so full of anxiety. I have always been clear with my son that this day isn't the day to cherish me. If every day he lives his best life then I am happy as a mother.

My daughter couldn't handle me being sad either. I think she felt unsafe when I would cry... again because I wasn't being an in control adult. Parenting is such an education.

Yes! Looking in the mirror when you're angry can be eye opening!😳 I've done that and boy I can look terrifying.

Thank you for this Win. I needed to hear this - I am constantly comparing myself to other people. Literally constantly. It's exhausting, and I don't know how to stop except to remind myself to stop. I have caught myself audibly saying "stop" to myself, too.

A good way to compare is to your earlier self. That is much more effective.
