What’s the high pitched whine, when the car is at idle and can still be heard behind the Roar 🦁 ? (Not talking about the good whine/roar from the engine). That whine would make me insane. If any car had that constantly, I’d never drive it.

I am thinking about buying a luxury SUV. I like the Bentley Bentayga, the way it looks and feels of presence on the road but somehow with financial sustainability in mind, I am afraid of the maintenance and depreciation. So, at the end, I am opting for G63. Is this the right choice? That said my family encouraged me to not spend too much money and just buy a reliable Lexus LX600 or even cheaper sister, Land Cruiser LC300.

Great test, and you've got to work with what you've got, but I would've loved to see: The DBX 707 vs Urus Performante vs Cullinan Black Badge (the Bentayga S is perfect) vs GLS 600 Maybach vs Ferrari Purosangue vs Porsche Carrera GT vs Cadillac Escalade V. Potentially even BMW X5/7, Jaguar F Pace, Maserati Levante Trofeo, Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio, and possibly even Jeep trackhawk

Owner of S550 W221 with all kind of option on the front and on the bag... seat adjusting, massages, screens and etc...< telling all that, becuase if you buy base model of W221 feels like waste of money. You need to find one with a lots of option to have fun and enjoy it more. I also drove W222...the ride feels the same, but build quality on W221 is 10 time better. The W222 feels like plastic from inside. Looks "cool/modern", but it loses the quality touch. When you start touching everything in the car, the seats, the wooden dashboard, every button...it just feels different. Maybe W223 is better option, but between W221 and W222...the old one is better. You also need to take in consideration that OLDER generation car that is manufactured from 2006 till 2011 or so...is much better even TODAY against even facelift models of W222. Some cars are just build to last forever and this is one of them for sure.

Mclaren 1 year ownership update. O problems. Very reliable and a great sports car. Just keep her battery tendered as advised and 0 electronic issues. I think she looks beautiful and she is indeed faster than the new Corvette Z06. I see a lot of C8s out in California. They aren't very special anymore. Very much fewer 570s spiders in my area and I get followed, waved at, and picture taken. 😅 Go with your heart but mine belongs to the 570s spider🎉. She is a bit more expensive than a C8, but worth it.

On the MP4-12C the key slot is behind the passenger door (RHD), not underneath the car. To get to the key slot you have to locate the finger hole in the top panel in the air intake and pull it done to remove the panel. Once the panel is removed you can then see the key slot. Having said that it is still incredibly difficult to unlock the door with the key. If this happens and you can't get the door to open there is another process to go through which is much more involved. Note: having charged up the battery you may encounter a number of warnings when you switch on the ignition. At this point you may have to call your local McLaren dealer for help. Who ever dreamed up this system wants shooting. It's completely ludicrous to have to go through all of this just to get the car working from a flat battery. Also, the lithium battery goes into "sleep" mode after a certain voltage is reached to protect the battery, so rule of thumb is to reconnect the charger as soon as you put the car back in the garage so the voltage doesn't drop into its sleep zone. That is assuming your car is using the factory lithium battery. Lead acid batteries don't suffer from this problem.

I do appreciate rolls royce indeed, but they miss some key features like a fully dividing rear centre console, the present one only runs a few inches in front of the rear seats, fold in fold out tables which can be deployed from the centre console, sunroof, two pillows matching main interior hide for each rear seat, and probably the front seats should be kinda more redesigned coz theyre just too boxy and not very dynamic at all, and the entertainment system should not be behind the picnic table, they should be independent with the entertainment being above and the picnic table being lower....

The California has been my favorite for many years. I was surprised to discover it cost less and was designed for the American market. I guess they know us. They hit it out of the park with that body design and I find your comment about "dipping their toes into" ridiculous. I'd bet money you've never hears that from an actual buyer. It would never occur to you that someone might like the car because of its shape and style. You shouldn't be allowed to work there. Snobs don't make good salesmen.

Awesome review as usual! When you reviewed the Artura Coupe, you really loved the sound system. Mclaren says they upgraded the sytem in the new Spider. Do you notice a difference?
