"The Perfect Storm" is one of my most FAVORITES of James Horner's scores that he's ever composed in his career. Because just like many of his others, this is one of those scores where he totally got into it. It sounds great to listen to at places like Disneyland or Universal Studios Hollywood or maybe even SeaWorld, etc.

Such an amazingly beautiful score. I love this interview and the music/film clips. It perfectly encapsulates how important and how wonderful James Horner's music truly was for film.

Man, I totally think they should have kept these, especially the last scene. One thing I've started considering now that I'm older is that: Gatsby was a criminal who was selling fake bonds, had quite possibly killed a man, and was a known bootlegger, yet none of this seems to be appreciated by Nick. Was Gatsby really the victim that Nick's story really tells? Or were they all kind of morally neutral?

I always say, Alan Silvestri, Jerry Goldsmith, Basil Poledouris, John Williams, James Horner. The greatest of the great. But Mr. Rabin is definitely great. Thank you Christ for Boris, my German Shepherd, my little son. Keep him in Your care.

This man was an Absolute Genius and he will truly be missed. His scores are stuff of Legend. It's wild how many of the biggest box office draws were composed by James Horner.

kzbin.info/www/bejne/e4Kxo4KHlrNkfM0 This part of the song sound like something from the new age album Songs Of Distant Earth performed by Mike Oldfield here in the bridge portion of the track. So this song makes it not just a rock song, more like a new age Christmas song.

Having that MO album, agree! It carries the same vibe and ethereal feel it has to do with the choir-like synths and percussion IMHO.

Is this picture the album cover? Kinda looks like a cheap postcard that I’d send out to people I don’t know. But, as alway Trevor Rabins playing and production is outstanding.
