This is the original sound of a Corsair and not the sound of an RC airplane. Even a Moki 400 (5 cylinder radial engine with 400 cc displacement) doesn't sound like that.

It is a moki, but understand that the video and audio have been slowed down to 50% slow mo.

Which one would you recommend between FMS F16 64mm EDF jet Vs FMS Viper V2 70mm EDF jet(15th anniversary)?
@ThercgeekКүн бұрын
I’d go for the viper all day long. With the retracts and flaps, it’s more fun imo

I want to do that.

Dubbed sound, and video slowed down to make the model aircraft appear more realistic. I'd rather see a model with a sound system and the video running at normal speed.
@Thercgeek2 күн бұрын
The audio isn’t dubbed, it’s the sound coming from the model that’s been slowed to 50% speed the same as the vid. 😊
@centavo7714Күн бұрын
Absolutely... the sound doesn't match the images at all. Even if you were to play a recording of a Moki 400 radial engine at half speed, it wouldn't sound like it does in the video.

I mentioned in the video specifically. I got it from Morris Mini Motors in the UK.

What is the scale of this awesome J35 Draken ?
@ThercgeekКүн бұрын
That’s a good question. I think it’s about 1/9 to 1/8 scale if I remember right.

Together with your A7 this is one of the most convincing EDF's I've ever seen. Outstanding performance and looks like it flies fantastic. Does someone know if this is a Kit or perhaps where the landing gear is from?

My modified UMX Voodoo on 4s 250mah lipo, Lemon RX Micro brick, Hobbywing FLYFUN 10a ESC, Happymodel EX1404 2450kv BL motor, and APC 5x5 thin electric prop is bananas and my favorite. It's a blast to fly and can get away from you in a hurry, Total flight time is 1 minute 50 seconds of pucker factor. lol

You can build a Part 103 ultralite and fly it for real. Flying RC you cant get the feel of flying and feel the gravity of making turns or moving the controls . Put your rear end in that seat experience the joy of flight with out a license and tow your plane home at the end of the day. The last guy I told that is a Commercial Jet pilot now .

@nathank79892 күн бұрын
It's a cool video, but it's slowed down. You can really tell in the clip of the model landing because of how the model bounces. The video is played at maybe 50% speed.

Anyone in this feed believes this is real has never heard the real SR-71 do a fly by. It sounds nothing like this high wind pitch of a vacuum cleaner, lmao🤣…

Inlets, inlets, inlets ... the downfall of many designs. This model needs: 1. Suck-in doors for the EDF inlets 2. An auxiliary inlet and nozzle to provide cooling air for the ESC units.

The F4U has had my heart since I can remember. This is no exception. Where’s the Zero and Spitfire or Lancaster? To hell with the Trojan. Awesome, beautiful planes. Cheers enthusiasts. Love flying this eras birds. 🍻
@@Thercgeek Sorry... but that is never the sound of a Moki radial engine. Even a Moki 400 (5 cylinders with 400 cc displacement) doesn't sound anywhere near that.

Nice looking and flying plane. Are those wings a pain in the butt to get on and off for transporting? Appears that it might be because of the wing struts.
@Thercgeek3 күн бұрын
Actually, it’s pretty quick. It’s only 3 screws per side including the wing strut attachment plus the connectors for the motors and servos are hard mounted in there.

I wish they would make a Britten Norman BN-2 Islander with the Red Devils Livery. I loved my old small GWS Islander so much that I scratch-built 118-inch or 3m balsa ply and foam core wings over a 3-year period. But I would love a smaller electric foam one that I can fit in my car and not have to use my truck and trailer. I bet X-Fly can make a gorgeous one.

It’s a must to touch down on the mains, the nose gear will not take much abuse before it gives up the ghost
@Thercgeek4 күн бұрын
I feel that’s the case with most aircraft in general. Any nose gear first touch down is going to be lights out for the landing because it’ll usually result in popping the nose way up into the air.

I think the starfighter looked most realistic in the air. The fake afterburners don't do it for me on the SR-71. I just see LEDs because I design them lol.
