A great promotional video which shows the hidden heartlands of Ireland at their finest. Well done to the athletes here and in particular to the videography team

In case anyone is wondering. The present version of union Jack was not designed until 1801. The seige of limerick was 1690. So how can the union Jack be flown in the seige of limerick. The combination of England and Scotland flag was the original king union jack flag for the Royal Navy of the kings person union of three separate countries. Act of Union added the Irish red St Patrick red X flag to the Union Jack, during the political union 1801 of the three countries into one that was under the same Royal personal rule. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Flag_of_Great_Britain_(1707-1800).svg Back in 1690, it was England St George cross flag or royal flag which was flown, on land only, until 1707 when land forces adopted the old union Jack. The old union Jack was flown on the Royal Navy from 1606 to 1801. The Royal Navy was not involved in the seige of Limerick.

Lovely route through West Offaly. Cycling has become so popular in the Slieve Blooms I have added a lock up store, bike wash and drying room at Ardmore House B&B in Kinnitty

Paul Dolan It is nice to see it without 'fog' :) We will be there again this June and hopefully we will be able to actually 'see' it. Third time the charm???
@pauldolan231510 жыл бұрын
Did you see it without fog Frances ?
@FrancesSloan10 жыл бұрын
Paul Dolan We did ! Absolutely beautiful !! :) Third time 'was' the charm. :) Perfect weather every day of our vacation. We also took a bus tour of "The Ring OF Kerry". It was 'ok'.....Then we went back and drove it ourselves. UNBELIEVABLE DIFFERENCE !! The word I keep coming up with to describe it to people is "Majestic". I just can't describe the beauty. The next trip we will take the pony-trap through the Gap of Dunloe. That is as close as I can get to being on a bike. :) Also, I never did master riding a bike. :( Thanks again for your 'beautiful' video. :)
