The third way of mass scaling is a brilliant approach; I never thought about going this way. I will not use it right now, but maybe sometime in the future it will be helpful. Thank you!

Great Series Sir. Thanks for it. Can you please make a video about how to use CEL in abaqus for Friction Stir Welding.

Thanks for the informative video. For my simulation I used the classical Columb's approach and input a conservatives value of coefficient of friction as 0.3 (dont have any literature for the exact value of this between cold formed steel and grout ). However, I have also seen people model the contact bond stress -slip and shear force - slip using spring element. If we use the Columns approach then we dont need to define these force -slip relationships in FE model ??

Hi, this video is very informative. I am a master's student and I am doing ECAP simulation in ABAQUS on Mg alloy and at 290 degrees C. Which properties I should add to materials and how can I find C.o.F. for the process? ECAP angle is 90

Within the Abaqus/Explicit VUEL (user element) there is a variable "a" for the "accelerations of the variables at the end of the current increment", is this equivalent to dot(dot(u))^i ? if so, how does the solver know a priori the result of inv(M)*(F-I)? or is this "a" variable dot(dot(u))^(i-1)? thank you!

Also, i have something similar problem but when I open the die after the pressing, the plate also moves upward. I have tried several things but dont know how to keep the plate stationery. I can also not see the transient and steady state options in step editor :(
@MJs-853 жыл бұрын
in fact i've just tried an option in "interaction" and deactivated the the top die interaction with plate in die opening step and it worked ! now the plate is not moving up as the top die opens up after first press !
