@@otthepodcast neato! I just started checking out your channel but I think you've got some solid content here. Did you discuss perhaps Breguet in depth already in an episode? Would be pretty awesome if you could do a discussion table with a Breguet's higher up Vs critical thinker towards brand releases and doings. Personally I feel they limit themselves for no reason at all. Breguet to me is touching new grounds, daring to think different, ready to go above and beyond. I'll sound like crazy to many but in my eyes it's Breguet that should be behind Urwerk, Hautlence, MB&F, Armin Strom and many other creations. PS you've got my mad respect if you spray paint 'Tradition is a peer pressure from dead people' on their HQ doors. Jk. I'm just very sad by the brand's position nowadays. Nobody talks about them anymore because there isn't much to talk about. Just another crazy priced tourbillon, this time in a different dial, that no one will ever see live. And if you ever care to make it happen - I beg you to filter out any bullcrap coming from the B's higher up. I have never seen an interview with big brand discussing important topics that didn't feel like lying or omitting hard truths. There's way too much of a façade between what big brands are really like inside and what's told to afficionados. Sorry for the long comment. Keep up the good work, byeeee.

Welcome - good to have you here. We've definitely talked pretty candidly about Breguet / Blancpain over the years. TL;DR - we (Andy) thinks they're a bit unloved by Swatch and is not sure why. Lot's of potential and history just sitting there. Pricing is also wild. You might enjoy the #HotTakes section of our discord...

Young Seiko boy here - would love if you included pictures of the watches you're discussing, or just shared someone's computer screen during the conversation. Saves me having to look stuff up myself!

Hey mate! Thanks for taking the time to share some feedback. It's a lot of editing ($$$) to insert all the watches, we did it a few eps back with the Cartier W&W wrap. I think a screen share situation could work quite well as a middle ground! Part of the fun is the discovery afterwards though :-) Thanks again for the support - AG

The TH Carrera glass box on bracelet at $9650. Less than half the price. Speedy pro at $13k. The more integrated B&T BR 05 at $10. A Navitimer in the new smaller size 43 at $13. Or a Santos chronograph for $13,500. I like Zenith, but $7000 more than Navi, Santos or Speedy???

Andy I absolutely agree..... I was ready to buy the Zenith Defy Skyline Chrono, cash in hand, but $20,700 is crazy. The boom is over, COVID cash is over. I expect in 6-9months these will be 20% off. I will have bought something else by then.

Wow, I’m actually heartbroken over this! I’ve been following this cat since I got my first Panerai 86 before the brand was ever popular. He always seemed like a real gentleman. I guess it’s true what they say that only the good die young.

I researched your KZbin channel for a few days. Your videos are awesome but due to some problems your videos are not ranking on KZbin's top and you don’t get more subscribers, views, and engagements. Can we have a short conversation about it? It will be for the betterment of your KZbin channel to grow your subscribers, views, and engagement 4x faster.

Great bit with Hammer! I had been looking at the Sotheby's offerings, and being a Paneristi myself, I was drawn to the Panerai offerings. I wanted to learn a little about the man behind the collection and stumbled across this interview. It was a pleasure to listen and hear about Hammer's life. I will definitely be casting my bid on more than a couple of these outstanding Panerai when they hit the auction block.

Love the Modul c mechanical but over 1k for non sapphire no lume , lots of other offerings for hundred less.
@m.e.p.r4 ай бұрын
I think the Modul A with manual movement is really good value i.e. ETA/Top Grade Version - finished really nice with Genève striping and blued screws etc. I also think the use of hesalite over sapphire was a conscious choice i.e. to reduce the case thickness and give that vintage distortion to the text when viewed off axis. Same with the lume - the design of a watch is often compromised through the use of it. The way Paulin manufacture there dials is also impressive, giving an enamel like finish. From what I understand, the base material of there dials is aluminium, then they are anodised and dyed. Pretty cool to behold.
