In the 4th century St. Augustine wrote that no one knew what Jesus looked like. Then in the sixth century the Image of Edessa was retrieved from its sanctuary in the West Gate were it had been hidden for 500 years. it was at that time that the depictions of Jesus began to change into that which we recognise today as Jesus. Everyone who sees the sixth century Icon of Christ Pantocrator from St. Catherine's monastery recognizes the face. the Holy Shroud has been proven authentic several times over The Shroud and the ancient Image of Edessa were one and the same. So what is the point of this video? An attack on the authenticity of the Holy Shroud?

@@777spiritledmusic At 3:11 the video says that "the historical and biblical records offer us a strikingly different pictiure." However, from the sixth century onward, our understanding of what Jesus looked like has been based on the image of him on the Turin Shroud. Perhaps the depiction based the Shroud has become too westernised. But it is somewhat difficult to understand what the conclusion of the video is.

I had a dream of him and believe it or not look like that. He has a very Jewish look. He had no wavey hair it was black long hair and big. Blue eyes and big nose and He had a short cut beard and moustache.
