1:12:26 80 liter tank … not for me. It’s too expensive and where I am there are plenty of petrol stations. My opinion will be a 20L jerrycan fitted low to my rear ladder. Not ideal but way better considering the money spent.

52:01 Ironman is a great company who takes pride in environmental topics which I do too. I got their shocks only as I don’t want a lift kit. The handling improvement was massive and exactly what I was looking for. I agree on their website and customer service though. They have a great opportunity of improvement on those.

33:40 I got the throttle controller from Torqit in Australia. It’s a great product. Torqit a family business and as soon as I paid them the sales person was no longer responding to my mails. Jerk. But the controller is great! When I got it I set it in its highest mode, which turned out to be way too much for my kind of driving. I tried the other modes too and settled for ‘Intelligent Mode’. That’s the mode that learns my driving style and delivers power accordingly. Another thing is that the controller has an antitheft mode which disconnects the accelerator. This was a dealbreaker for me and I use that feature every day.

31:27 I have the tunnel tray from Jim’s Jimny in Australia. It’s machined out of one piece of walnut and designed to cope with the low range leaver in the low range location without popping out.

What an amazing development occurred in off road capability since then, all what you need now is to select driving mode on the screen.

I have both the original and the Pro AA LEDs. They can cast 127-320 lumens out to several hundred yards with the focus and is still relevant in this day. I carry them as backups to my big Fenix 1000 and 3000 lumen tactical lights. I do construction so these lights are essential.

I had one like it many years ago but I believe that was a xl100 that was a tricky one to use ! It had that sleep mode and state of the art back then? A price to match as well! I don't know what happened to it .mine was black with a red switch rubber!

You can get good LED upgrades for mini maglite torches! I have still one of the first ones with MAG mfg on the head! This little torch led to loads more of C and D cells and even those much harder to get Streamlight SL20s !

I always found the problem with magcharger was the spot focusing ! I can remember having a 3D mag with those white star bulbs you could upgrade to long before leds . The good thing with incandescent is the colour rendition is better and if you use a torch a lot it's better on the eyes! And I like the fact they get warm in use. Maglite still pedal out new incandescent torches and to their cost were late in the game with LED?

I have still got a 2D fat barrel ,one of their first models! Have had a few over the years .the Mag charger bulbs get so hot, hence the metal reflectors and real glass lenses. The black hole was a design feature for helping with police work protecting eyes when shining on suspects, etc. Have always loved mags and also Streamlight sl20s these were US police issue as well . Must break a mag out? Unbelievable but Maglite still make incandescent torches!

I learned to drive in a series 3 (Army) in 1976. I’ve owned Landys ever since I left the army in 1987, and am currently the custodian of a 1992 200Tdi. I love them, i hate them, they make me grin, they make me cry….but I’ll never be without one until I die.

Question: my Siii 109 has locking hubs and I notice this Siii 88" does not. I ALWAYS get caught out in mud with diff locks unlocked - embarrassing. Would it be OK to just leave the diff-locks on permanently?

I got a multitool that does everything these do except for lacking a scissors. (I've never needed scissors when I've been in a situation where the only thing I had to work with was a multitool.) It cost under $25, every tool is accessible without opening the pliers. It's from Wetols and the only penalty is it weighs more than I care to carry on my person, so I put it in my bag. BYW, any mutitool assembled with screws can be modified so individual locking blades don't lock using a rotary tool diamond burr to cut back the lock tab or the back notch of the blade..

The last Bibury is a leatherman surge clone. I have the "gold" version, the handle scales look different on mine and I dont have a coating. Mine works perfectly well. Everything locks, everythings sharp, no malfunctions. The pliers are only a little stiff, thats all.

With lifepo4, they do charge to 3.6v. But they immediately drop to around 3.35v after charging stops. Could this be what you’re seeing?

On paper alkaline may be 1.5-1.6v. But in reality they immediate drop to under 1.2v under this type of load. I don’t imagine this light will last long on 8 cells. I’m surprised it didn’t insta-flash. Must have some high resistance in the switch

Those bi-pin bulbs with adapter are also called t1.5. So you can look for that. The streamlight TL-3 bulb works in those and should work well with your seven eneloops. I’m running a custom bulb from a guy named Tad. But he’s been out of business for a few years. It’s about 30% brighter than the one you’re using. I currently have one in a 3C, running on 2 18650s, with an aluminum reflector and glass lens

TBH though its mainly used on road as a response vehicle, due to the vast boot capacity. Occasionally it has been used to tow out morons.
