The one and only answer for me is to grow in faith; and to a level I can't even imagine. I know God is with me. This has been greatly helpful. I truly appreciate your work.

Automation is there to avoid doing tasks that waste your time. True masters don't attain mastery by spending time on low impact, low leverage activities. It prevents distraction and streamlines the learning process by allowing you to focus on what is actually important. Those who want to become masters understand that their attention is finite. Those who use automation to avoid learning will never achieve mastery. The tool is never the problem. It's always about how it's used.

if fit people are at 20 how do you expect normal people to get to 40... either there is a way to train for that specificaly or this is just not possible for normale people which makes it useless. focused breathing in itself can reduce anxiety. dont believe you need to achieve something that not even fit people can do.

This episode has answered so many of my questions. How to make myself less sleepy when I pray or while driving? Why do I get light headed when I speak for a long time? How to stop my thoughts and pay more attention when listening to others? Am I supposed to breath faster or slower when I exercise? And so much more. Thank you for your great work.

My husband was working in the music industry was surrounded by Toxic Positivity where nobody wanted to deal with reality. Anytime he brought up a problem that needed addressing they brushed him off glossed over his concerns and made him feel like he was going crazy. This brought him health issues that he will probably never get over (chronic heart problems probably due to a repressed heart attack) It is so important that people A. Figure out what is happening to them and B. Make sure they have an outlet to deal with this. I wish that I had told him to quit the moment he was having a problem I did not realize until I spent some time with him on the job the extent of what was happening. If your coworkers refuse to deal with the reality of work situations then there is no amount of money or benefits that are worth staying with these toxic people. Quit....Your very life could depend on it.

This video is gem. Dr Kevin explains issues I've been dealing with for years and years without even knowing I am and behave the way I do. Incredible. I've literally lost so many opportunities in my life because I didn't have a clue why I was so negative about myself and was running in loops endlessly without improvement. I feel like a truck was removed from my shoulders. I'm so thankful I found this. So much to do and grow! Let's do this!😁

A huge fan of your podcast / master class here - thank you for your fantastic work. I have one question for you. I’ve dealt with various psychosomatic symptoms throughout my life (pain, migraines, etc), and one of the frequently recommended solutions is journaling. More specifically, venting on paper without any filter whatsoever in order to stop identifying oneself with his thoughts and gain awareness of what’s going on in one’s mind (e.g. Nicole Sachs’ popular “Journal Speak”). Many people *do* report significant alleviation or even cessation of symptoms as a result of this temper-tantrum-like journaling practice. I wonder what your take on that is. My hypothesis for why this technique works, even without a reframe, is that writing things down inevitably involves the prefrontal cortex instead of the emotional centers of the brain, which is in itself calming for the amygdala. TLDR I’m not sure whether vent-journaling is a good strategy for the long run.

Toxic positivity invades the medical arena, too. I was diagnosed with cancer 14 years ago, and people offered platitudes such as, "You've got this!" or "Kick cancer's ass!" as i headed off to surgery. Years later after the surgery failed and the cancer returned, they offered the same platitudes as I headed off to radiation therapy. It annoyed the crap outta me because they reduced my situation to a cheer at a pep rally. I wanted to cry out, "Don't you think that if I truly 'got this,' I would have been cured 12 years ago?!?" It was infuriating. It's put me into a position where I'm reluctant to share the next phase of my treatment because I don't want to hear another round of "You got this!" especially considering that the window for curative options is about to close. They felt they were being supportive, but all that I saw was insincerity and a lack of true empathy.

The one quality, throughout my life, which I’ve always appreciated most about myself is my resourcefulness. Then I started using OptimalWork, and Dr. Majeres kept telling me that if only I’d accept every single thing as a gift to be used for the greatest good, then the sky’s the limit! And then I faced some fears... That was awesome, I mean truly... So yeah! Cheers to self-efficacy! Cheers to resourcefulness! Cheers to challenge! And cheers to Kevin and Sharif! Love you guys!!!

I think venting is just a way to get out your emotions. So that you can then evaluate the right way to bring it up to them with and even.

Venting is absolute BS. If we see a child doing the same thing, we call it “pitching a fit”. But because we adults own the language and make the rules, we have convinced ourselves that venting (pitching a fit), is a good thing, when adults do it. No, it isn’t.

Venting *is* *helpful* to the alternative, of repressing your own feelings 🌞 but *the* *point* is you’re not courageous enough to practically, problem solve yet; it is a bad habit though and everyone will be better off if they’re proactive about living.

Thank you for this!!! for clarifying the definition of complaining. There are some people who would confuse "not complaining" with an unhealthy desire to preserve the status quo at all cost. There are some people who are walking around on eggshells and it's killing them inside. Yes!!! accurately assessing challenges is key!!! What are you afraid of??! What do you really want??! Take the time to do this and you are halfway there.
