[edit - this doesn't seem to work with the included A320 in FS2020. Is this for a paid aircraft? If yes (much of the below would be nullified), why wasn't the hard work done here targeted at the included 320 that comes with FS2020? ] Huge thanks for this super useful video and one that's now given me more faith in my recent purchases - the damn expensive Air Manager and Knobster combo for use with FS2020 and my tablets hoping that I could enjoy some airliner flights. Unfortunately, the instruments and panels that come with Air Manager are predominantly for smaller/prop aircraft. Anything that I could see that might be useful was restricted to FSX or X-Plane, so I was quickly beginning to regret my purchase...until I saw this video. You've also pointed me towards Air Manager's forums to expand on instruments and panels available further, and to Github (I'm guessing that's where most of these are found). I also recently downloaded Pop Out Manager together with SpaceDesk, two super useful tools for tablets/extra screens. Two other handy tools I installed are MSF Addons Linker (for community folder management) and MSFS Map Enhancement (to easily switch between different satellite imagery). My head's sore with Googling and KZbin watching lol. There's a lot to take in. I need to remember baby steps first. Cheers bud. As for the difficult programming behind these instruments, I'm thinking that variable label names haven't been standardised? If they were, they'd be using the same name for identical functions/switches/buttons/lcd's between aircraft, meaning that much more instruments would work between aircraft. The Knobster adjusting the Nav1 lcd value...you'd think that would work on all planes where that same function exists (i.e. many). That it doesn't is suspicious.

I know this is an older video, but do you know if anyone has successfully put the fly pad on a separate monitor with the touch screen functionality working? I was able to get it on another screen using the right control button but then the touch functionality didn’t work on my touch screen monitor. Thanks, great video!

So the 3 tvs are 1 is on a wall mount then the other 2 side tvs are on tables. And then I built the panel to have the 2- 22” be flat with the panels. I cut out holes and then inset them screen an inside. Then my lower screen is attached to a 2X4. The overhead is on a drop tv mount.

HI! Great videos, which touch screens are you using? Does the 3 plus monitor affect the FPS?
@planesight
@planesight Жыл бұрын
I run 2 - Wimaxit 15.6" touchscreens & 2 - Asus 22" touchscreens. I can run the Fenix (Heaviest Load) and in LAX with everything poped out and get around 30 - 35 FPS . It very different with other computers. You can have the same Pc build as mine and yours will vary. Plus I stream on 1 PC I don't run a 2 pc setup. Take that for what it's worth. At simstrumentation we have a pretty goos following with all kinds of different pc builds and I haven't heard of anybody quit doing touchscreens because it's too taxing on performance. I hope that gives you some kind of idea. What do you currently have for a pc? Thanks for the comment and appreciate you watching.
@gaborilles4437
@gaborilles4437 Жыл бұрын
@@planesight My computer is under development. I am currently using 3 22" monitors because of the wide viewing angle. I am thinking about building physical panels, but I like using Arimanager. You can fly several types of aircraft with it from the same seat :) I have not yet decided which system to build. What do you think? What do you think is Meiyl's main disadvantage? Physical buttons VS touch buttons. is the air manager button suitable for multidirectional movement of the airbus FCU buttons?
@planesight
@planesight Жыл бұрын
@@gaborilles4437 I love the versatility Air Manager possess. If you run multi monitor it takes a very Hefty PC. I know I used to run 3 50" tv's and all the other panels and it was ok FPS wise but I couldn't stream all on 1 Pc so I went back to 1 TV and use head Tracker ir. I love being able to fly many different aircraft from a Cessna to TBM to Airbus all with my current set up. Physical buttons is cool and more realistic but man you are stuck with 1 plane. I think the 5800x3d and a 40 series GPU would be the best bang for your buck. I have the 5900x3d and 3080ti. I can run everything on ultra and all my panels and get around 30FPs on the ground. Stinks cause sometimes on stream it seems jumpy but it's smooth on my end. I think it's maybe upload speed to YT that is why it gets laggy. I feel that touchscreens with AM is the most affordable and versatile cockpit setup you can have. that is my opinion and others may disagree with me. If I didn't stream I would run that. but streaming and 3 separate displays of MSFS 2020 is too much for my pc.
