It was an incredible perspective to see Glacier National Park from the air. The other helicopter tours I've taken were in Dubai, UAE and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. There were different things to see in those city-based flights than in Glacier, so it probably depends on what you're interested in, in terms of the value. I thought it was worth it though. I think you put your weight into the registration page when you pay , but I don't recall if there was a per seat restriction. This was the company we flew with: glacieraviationservices.com/glacier-aviation-air-tour-information-glacier-national-park/

This content can be found in most traffic/highway/transportation engineering textbooks. One free source is the NCEES PE Civil Engineering Reference Handbook (you have to create a free account) and it's in Chapter 5. help.ncees.org/article/87-ncees-exam-reference-handbooks You might also have access through a library to a book I was co-author of with some colleagues (Highway Engineering: Planning, Design, and Operations): www.amazon.com/Highway-Engineering-Planning-Design-Operations/dp/0128221852

In my opinion, the vehicle length should be given. However, if it's not given, I would recommend using Table 2-4a in the 2018 Green Book (page 2-56) which shows a passenger car length of 19 feet.

Hello. I am currently doing a project that requires obtaining the saturation flow rate of an intersection in my city. May I know where the equation for the saturation flow rate came from (from a study, textbook, etc.) and if there is something that can be done to obtain the saturation flow rate for a mixed traffic condition, with many motorcycles and trucks/buses arriving along with the passenger cars, which is highly common in my city. Thank you!
@FindleyDaniel
@FindleyDaniel Ай бұрын
The study is described and presented in the Manual of Transportation Engineering Studies, 2nd Edition (ecommerce.ite.org/IMIS/ItemDetail?iProductCode=TB-012A). The standard method is to exclude motorcycles and trucks/buses, but you could collect the data with the mixed traffic (make sure to document the vehicles included).

It can be found by subtracting the tangent runout distance 75.75 feet from the ST station 51+92.09. The calculation was completed at @5:08, but the diagram @8:21 more clearly shows whether the point of interest is before or after the tangent runout distance.

I have driven this way MANY times, but not very much since the new construction on the Beltline has been going on. I see they are still working on it. It must be 4 or 5 years since they started the construction. There were not two exits for Wade Avenue before, one for each direction now. It looks like they took out the red light at the bottom of the exit 4 ramp. There is a flyover ramp there now I don't remember, I think to take you from Wade Avenue going west to 440 going West / US 1 south?
