These interpretations are cool! Great stuff. And, I definitely agree. I think with some of the brand logos these days there’s a very… ‘corporate minimalist’ element to it (e.g.: lack of bevels, kitschy text effects and now using either black or white text as if it’s today’s magazine print). It’s like stylised logos are a thing of the past… I don’t want to believe that, though, since there are really cool game logos out there. However, I like how Tekken’s and Mortal Kombat’s logos have been the most consistent throughout the years.

Yeah this video is a sick concept and the limits are boundless. If you get bored of logos you could even go and put your own take into cover arts or promotional posters. Tekken 8 is definitely my favourite variations. The Kazuya glove with blue and red electric was peak. I feel like the Street Fighter text was lacking in texture, maybe a slight scratched metal kind of vibe could've helped because I feel it looked a bit flat against the 6.

The biggest malpractice I think of nowadays is battle passes and loot boxes. It gives companies more reasons to release unpolished games knowing they'll rope people in with early battle passes/loot boxes for skins that might not be seen again. Every game lately has battle passes, even some single player and its just like what the hell
