Lol, this is gonna be intetesting cuz I only have access to Gensai Tambi's Gem, Pearl, & Starry six color sets and one small brush. 😅🤷♀️ I'd kill a fool for some Payne's gray.😂

Love this video! Trying to follow your steps! Thanks for sharing and yes, I too, love the last step, pulling off the washi tape to see the effect! I find the white sky too startling in contrast, so I added a very light wash to it. By the way, I’m a newbie in water colours! 😂

Love it, Kendra! On another note, I want to help you in your pronunciation of Zion NP. You pronounced it phonetically correct, like “ion.” But it’s not pronounced the way it looks. ZI-un. Or, more familiar, “I’m going to ZI-uns.” That makes it sound like it’s just up the road and you go all the time.

So pretty! Can’t wait to paint this one!! P.S. Instead of tossing the brush you use for the masking fluid, you can rub it on some bar soap beforehand and that will make it easier to wash off after use.

Okay, I did it! It took 2.5 hours, but I did it! Please remember I am a rank beginner; I have only been doing watercolor for 9 months so I have to go slow. And it takes forever for me to get the colors to match. When will blending become second nature? I swear I am on my second #1 round bcz I have to ‘scrub’ in the edges of my blend. I always end up with a hard line :(

You did it!! Woohoo! Proud of you, this is not an easy one to do. 👏🏼 Blending becomes second nature over time, it’ll become intuitive the more you did it. In the beginning it can get frustrating at times - but you just brought up a good idea for a future tutorial, all on blending common color combinations for landscape painting and how to soften blends / transition areas with your brush on paper. 🫶🏻 I’d like to do a video on that to help!
