Yeah this is the new car everyone and all the tuner's want to work on now.. It's hard to get anyone to do work on a Juke or Tune it anymore.. I don't care how good PPL say that car is I just can't bring myself to buy a 3 cylinder. Can't do it.. And I am getting so sick of turbo's too... I just want a car that makes power stock. I can't stop looking at used Camaro SS's..

You installed it upside down. This is a common error for using after market CAF's because the arrow is misunderstood. The aftermarket CAF which you have has the arrow that refers to the actual airflow. While the Toyota OEM arrow refers to which way you should install the CAF. Airflow is always top to bottom. That's why yours is upside down if you are following the Toyota arrow. Hope this makes sense.

@njsongwriter

All horizontally mounted cabin air filters with the blower motor mounted below the filter will have downward air flow direction. So you put yours in upside down. If the air was going up through the blower first and then through the filter then all the dirt and debris that collects on top of an old filter would be trapped inside the blower motor. Does that even make sense? Air flow arrows should point down. All the Toyota parts such as the filter tray and plastic panel that say "UP" on them say nothing about air flow. Those up arrows are simply telling us how to reinstall those parts. The same goes for an OEM Toyota branded filter. The arrows on that filter do NOT indicate air flow direction. They are simply telling us which side goes up. Most brands have air flow arrows and should point down. Some brands have up arrows and should point up. If a filter just has no arrow (like NAPA or WIX) and doesn't say anything then by default an arrow on an air filter should point in the direction of air flow which again is down in this case. The little spring or shock as you call it is actually a damper.

You dont need to mess with the reverse lockout, the boot just peels off when you take off the trim. Also, to hold the bushings in the shifter, you can use some grease to hold them in while you get the rest into position.
