Love the garage! So many builds skip that but cities need a place to park all the vehicles.

Well done. Unique concept. I’m like you, I hate design programs. I love just “free styling “ and creating spontaneously. It would take me to design ona computer than to just do it myself. Cheers from Canada 👍🇨🇦

I had overlooked that set because of the bright colours but the way you have done it makes a really fun half-modular building - and you added stairs!!
@ridzbricksАй бұрын
Thank you so much. That’s exactly my thinking is taking overlooked sets and making them integrate into the city

A man after my own heart! Love the style of this modular and those light colours work really well on the façade and side elevation. Stairs are not so hard and if you want to try them I would start with those staircase pieces and just fit them in between the levels of the building. Sometimes I use 'solid' stairs on the ground floor instead. I also like the roofline for this build although you might consider adding a 'mansard' style sloping roof they way that LEGO did it on the 76218 Sanctum Sanctorum building - and you can see how I tweaked this on my mod of the Sanctum kzbin.info/www/bejne/fH7Un5yJZtKnj68.

It's a fantastic MOC. Lego making the ice cream sign colours purple, teal and orange. I'd choose pink, white and lemon or something. When do you see purple or teal ice cream? Even orange isn't the biggest colour or flavour. In one cone? I like the building and the set but I'd 'MOC out' the three stripes. Makes you wonder if they went with 'gender neutral' colours, wouldn't want to make it 'too girly' with pink and vanilla. It's a bit of a 'girly set' anyway. As a male AFOL I would change the colours and not care if it turned the set 'girly'.

Great stuff man! Really helpful video. One thing - your audio is very quiet, and when I turn it up loud enough it boosts the background noise as well. Maybe you've sorted it out in the year since posting this video but you may need to add phantom power (like if you're recording on an SM7) or just turn the gain up on your mic (or both). Either way great video!
@ridzbricksАй бұрын
Thanks for the tip! I definitely had some audio issues that day. But we’ve definitely sorted it all out now.

How do you know what parts to buy? Just a guesstimate or do you plan the build in studio before?
@ridzbricksАй бұрын
I look at the design and test some things out the bricks I have in other colors and then order based on that in the right colors always getting some extra to account for trial and error
