If my show begins at 7 PM and I record a voice track at 7:10 for playback at 7:15, will the system seamlessly integrate the voice track into the currently active playlist while it is playing?
@wiersum19649 күн бұрын
Yes, it should. Record your voice track and the Remote VT program will save it. We often have announcers doing their voice tracks just a few minutes away from when they are set to play. One thing to check is that Auto Save is selected on the Announcers Remote VT program. This is located when the program first launches. Before you even open up a day, you will see three tabs at the top. The third one is OPTIONS. It is best, in my opinion, to have Auto save = ON. Also, set Auto-connect = OFF.

As a blind user, where would I find the keyboard commands for this and will my jaws screen reader tell me what’s on the screen as it doesn’t read colors?

I do not know the answer to your question. Perhaps reach out to Ross? He is the developer and support at Station Playlist.

I am so glad you enjoyed it. I'll never forget when Roger Brown walked into my class with a movie reel. I had to get it "digitized," but I was so excited to put this up on KZbin. It's a very precious piece of history.

Great instruction on the VT, the best info out there. Do you know of any way to increase the Ducking when talking over intros? The music seems too high. Thanks
@wiersum19644 ай бұрын
If you want to music to duck more when your mic is on, then go to Volume Fade Simulation. In the video, go to 3:09. I set my Volume Fade at -0.5 db, but if you slide the blue slider to the left, the music will duck more. Slide it to the right and the music will duck less. With a little trial-and-error you'll be able to find your sweet spot so that the music ducks --but not too much.

Great job Steve. Quick question, I have both a main and backup PC for Station Playlist. (One in Florida, the other in California). Do you if there is anyway to have a remote voice track go to both SP instances? Both have the same playlist as it is generated by Music1, third party scheduling software.
@wiersum19645 ай бұрын
I have a friend who does something similar. The folder where the voice tracks are saved is shared via Dropbox - simple and effective.

I can't get my macbook air to show a screen that my windows computer shows. It has a weird look to it, lining up all the hour's tracks to the left side. I also can't right click on a voice track and pull up a new menu.

I was fortunate enough to spend 3 out my 4 years at Glenbard West. I played under Tom Salerno in 1992 and we went undefeated that season. Unfortunately I had a chronic knee disorder that kept me playing my Junior and Senior years under Covert. I was fortunate enough to have Jim as my PE instructor a couple times and I remember him as such an honorable and diligent man. At one point he told me he did 100 push ups daily. Hopefully you’re still keeping that up good coach. Best wishes to your kind soul. I hope I see you around Lake Ellyn someday.

Trust a guy with a mostly useless history degree to provide some background. A good story should always describe whom we're talking about: 1961 Graduate of Glenbard West High School, Glen Ellyn, Il. Lt. Capel died in combat in Vietnam when he was leading a 14-man patrol which was ambushed southwest of Da Nang (in Quang Nam), South Vietnam by a large force of Viet Cong.
