Where in Morrisville is that operation? I wonder if the spark arrester/ muffler is keeping the turbo whine/whistle suppressed? It’s usually pretty easy to hear when that 606 is getting cranked up.

These switching videos are awesome. I just love watching old EMD locomotives moving over light weight rails in industrial corners. It is so much more interesting than just watching mainline freights over perfect track, though I still enjoy that tremendously. And as an added bonus we get to see the revolving bridge. How often do we see that??

Why would anyone in there right mind sell the most profitable RR in the country to a Canadian RR? DMIR never had to run looser passenger trains, etc! Commmnnnoonn tell me! I read frank Kings book years ago, live here “north of hy 2, and cannot figure it out. “

@NYTrainzchaserАй бұрын
About 10ft off a public road (5th Ave SW) in New Brighton. Commercial crews will claim anywhere is trespassing to scare off foamers.

@@NYTrainzchaser Ya I think they get bent sometimes because the camera makes them do extra work for compliance with OSHA and FSA that they might otherwise skimp on. Trespassing is like a $40 misdemeanor and only applies if you refuse a cops orders

CNG is much cleaner, better for the engine, cheaper, and engines refuel at the same spots anyway. I can't believe it's taken this long.

Good news: One of these Sheboygan C&NW harp-style wigwags is preserved in the lobby of the new Chicago & North Western Archives building at the Illinois Railway Museum complex near Union, IL. I think it's the very one shown at the beginning of the video, since this one looks newly painted and repaired, as is the one at the C&NWHS building.
