From all of this the biggest reason why Saboom ended up the way he did was primarily because of his stubbornes, ego and unwillingness to adapt to the new methods other speedruners used in all those games. He insisted that he was so good in those games that he didn't need to use other consoles, glitches or any other technique to beat the world records which is a terrible practice no matter how you put it. If he did all those things and with the passion and grind like in the beginning I could almost guarantee that he'd still have all those records because of the talent and inhuman grind he did every day. If only he addapted and improvised he would 100% overcame anything instead of being so depressed and borderline suicidal. Get well Saboom, I hope you'll find peace some day in whatever you do man.

Granted yes some shots were real, but A LOT of them, especially Havoc's, were fake. We were pretty ahead of the times when it came to 2boxing and system link edits. Hell, we got into BCT and Havoc joined SoaR under a different alias lol. We would even have a 2box come into pub matches with us, and we called it chicken lol

I’ll say this, after getting into 3d printing and starting with someone else’s fcked up machine, I can 100% say the sticks breaking was user error, don’t use Pla or petg, use ASA by far way more durable, and use the whitest or clearest filament you can find as it has less dye particles in it making for a stronger strick.

This is such an interesting problem with not very great solutions. The cost to have a factory to make these would be insane, skyrocketing the products price, not to mention ideally only a limited number has to be made. Most of these seem to be lead BY speed runners too, so deep down you know they don’t want to be mainly making these, they wanna be gaming. Ideally the richest N64 speed runners should throw a shit ton of money together and get something small rolling for their community. It’s obvious some of these guys have insane money, $4,900 for a stick is wild. Just an idea.
