I’m a retired respiratory therapist now 8 years .we try to raise money for charity by flipping .we did guitars from goodwill and eBay by the thousands but now their prices are ridiculous,so I tried storage auctions and I got way to much junk and miscellaneous that took forever to get rid of. Im now trying to raise funds by investments and donations instead of flipping. It was a lot of fun sometimes finding stuff,but I’m glad I’m pretty much done with flipping etc.

I have some rings that are gold but same stones as yours.how do I sell them besides a pawn shop? Any help appreciated.

How much does a famous u tuber make for a video?

Having a thrift makes the smalls so much easier to offload. I was watching a video yesterday, and from the work he’s doing, and the huge amount hes throwing out, the outlay (paying for dumping fees) is going to cost him more than the unit is worth. Not something I would want to get into.

i miss the days before the tv made it popular. you could go and only have like 5 other bidders or on a busy day have 10-12 but rarely. open the unit and take your 5-10 minutes looking while you all stand side by side. for that time period you made good money and it was fun. then it hit the tv and became popular and ruined it for us that been doing it since the 80's. prices went up, crowds got terrible, drama came with it too then, none or very little in the old days. after the tv shows so many were showing up that when they opened the doors they had you stand in a line and pushed you past the door non stopping like you were cattle going to slaughter and now instead of having 5-10 minutes to look you had like a 10 second window to look and take it all in. just wasn't fun anymore. units that use to sell for like $150 were bringing $3,000 now just because on tv every unit had a hidden treasures in them which in realty it isn't true. 1 auction i went to i walked the parking lot looking at license plates and 4 different states were represented, back in the old days you only had a handful of the local people from that town. they only had me and 1 other guy that went to neighboring towns, everyone just stayed pretty much local. then after a while when people realized it was actual work and there wasn't treasures worth millions in them then it died down and then it started to get good again but only for a short time but then the online internet bidding happened and that rose the prices back up but as mentioned the extra drama went away so i was happy about that. Only thing we need is smell a vision so we can smell these units. Alot of auctions are done online now. i miss going to the county auctions and putting your hands on the item or testing the cars/equipment first and meeting up with friends and finding out what they want so you don't jack up the bid. just like yesterday we were bidding at an online auction even though we did win the tractor with the loader but we got outbid on the gps system but we found out last night the other person that won it was my partners brother that i am also friends with. if we had known he was bidding on it too we would have left him have it alot cheaper seeing we were buying to resell. but it isn't all con but there are pros to it like i am able to attend alot more auctions while sitting in my house in my undies on a cold rainy day all over multiple states at the same time. you can participate in as many auctions as you can control on your computer at one time. But i still miss the auction format back in the 80's where you go there, played with everything first, met old friends and had a greasy burger with them at the chow wagon.

I have always known this, I also understood that KZbin was a sideline for you. However as a regular viewer of this type of content I have always found you down to earth and honest. I am a buyer, a collector and sell occasionally. I never miss your videos.

This video is to hopefully help out people who are trying to make money in the resale and storage auction business. You can learn a lot from watching KZbin videos but you have to look at the big picture sometimes and make sure what you are learning is applicable to your situation. Sometimes it's just entertainment.

Can’t believe that people buy such crap.

After being a part timer who buys 3 or four units a year and has one giant garage sale at the end of summer let me tell you its dirty, very dirty. And if only smell o vision existed, ugh. People are just gross. It can also be very sad, you can see addiction or mental illness in certain lockers. You hope those people are getting the help they need. Its people's whole lives in some of these units. Their journals with their hopes and dreams, or their past accomplishments, and it can sometimes be a little overwhelming when you see something of yourself in that persons things. Others you know are from people just aging and passing. But the signs are always there for addiction or mental illness.
