Rewatching this years after the fact, remembering how bad the refs and Golding were, and how Diggs got abused, was apparently not enough. This game was utter horseshit, the refs did at least a two-possession swing in this game alone. Diggs was never given help, Golding let Burrow do whatever he wanted in the flats, nobody could tackle, and even the WRs were miserable for half the game. The offense was the Tua and Najee show, the OL did well. Surtain was nowhere to be seen because he had whoever was across from him in fucking solitary confinement. Just infuriating at the time, and frustrating rewatching it years later, knowing that this and the injury to Tua robbed them of rematches with LSU in the Playoffs.

As an FSU fan, watching these highlights is tough. A few plays made or not made by Clemson and it's a different story. That 2016 team beat NC State on the road the next week and finished 10-3 with an Orange Bowl win over Michigan. It would be the last good FSU squad until 2022 and Jimbo's last season before the roof caved in in 2017-19.

You know your an inferior team when you have a play book full of trick plays and your known for using them all to go 7-5 regular season. Weak
