@@bridgeequipmentvideosbypiy6423 On board is a Furuno MU-190 radar, in this radar I select menu, then I select option 2, then option 7 and I can place some barges on the tug, but only the lines on the outside appear and I would like to add color or fill inside. Here I also have an Alphatron brand radar and I was able to do it, but not in the Furuno radar. It is like the option to fill the area.

U have to request permit for almanac and then install. Its same like installing a new permit for any sailing direction

How did u do.. fist u need to install permit file. Second you need to install the base cds. Third u need to install updates for those Chandra that u installed. Did u install all the required base cds??? If u have missed the base cd then it wont appear. Permit wil be there? If you have installed all required base cds then install the updates, after that all charts wil appear. What’s your ecdis type. Is it FURUNO??

@ first i installed enc permit , after i installed base cd as per the certificate of enc permit (base cd 3) but i download it from internet (same site to download avcs weekly) , but when installed pop up error one by one , , this germany ecdis nx (anchult raytheon)

@@alwinalfaqih7263 I haven’t worked with that ecdis. But anyway the procedure must be the same. Does the base cd run when u run it. It could be that you haven’t downloaded the propper files because if u don’t hv all files on the cd ecdis wont recognize and wont run.

@@alwinalfaqih7263if the carts are not updated that means you hasn’t installed the chart updates for newly installed charts. So install the chart updates then it wil be ok

what is the error message the ecdis which doesn't take updates shows??? aren't you 2 ecdis synchronising???

When you report this to your chart supplier they will send the pdf file .

RADAr and ECDIS have to be connected by a cable. tell the electrician to connect it

my company sends us the links to the base DVDs by which I download. I haven't tried to download from admiralty website, I am sorry.

Those are mostly input at the time of setting up the ecdis initially. But in some river passages where there are steep bends and turns you should adjust turning radius and speed to enable the route to be able to be monitored otherwise you can’t put the route on monitor

Actually this is a good request but that might be some kind of basic so others might not find it interesting. Most of my videos have covered handling the equipment. To find the port easily which are not in ALRS books I always use Llyods maritime atlas in which you can find almost any port 😉 If you want me to make a video on how to refer to Lloyds maritime atlas, that I can do for you

Actually I haven been using the route mainly from ecdis to the radar. But say you are halfway though your voyage and you are heading to WPT14 disable waypoint up to 13 and the GPS wil directly calculate your voyage from wpt 14 to the destination

@@fahimdalvi2107 I think on his reversing the route isn’t possible. Actually I haven’t noticed it but I remember there’s a reverse option but not sure if it’s reversing the entire way point list. I’m signing off in a few days and now I’m port. But until they to find something…

Yes if u delete a particular chart mistakenly u can reinstall it with the same permit file. But be sure that u know which permit file has the chart that u delete mistakenly. Like the normal way install permit and run the base dvd 😊

Actually Magellan strait and Panama Canal there’s nothing much and complicating that’s is why I haven’t done. What do u want to know about Magellan strait and Panama. Regarding Magellan strait u need to know about pilot boarding positions. If u come from south Atlantic Brazil side PBG is given in ALRS as I remeber Punta Arenas and if u come from South Pacific Chile side pilot wil board well in advance in Ancud. Is this helpful

Brother I’m sorry I can’t do that because it violates company’s cyber security policy. Anyway passage plan company specific and has to be as per the template given in companyySMS. Only thing u plan out your passage on ecdis and feed the data into your format. Ensure to include position fixing me third and intervals, CATZOC values against the soundings etc as these are typically checked by PSC inspectors
