Hi @westcottdesigns, i know thos is an old video and recently purchased a limited with the TRD Off road package. My question is will the Toyota safety sense need to be recalibrated for the front radar after installation. Also, whats the maximum tire side you can run without rubbing, will i need to purchase the TRD sway bars?
@westcottdesigns3 сағат бұрын
@@kyletitus205 the TSS will not need to be recalibrated. If you are going to run the factory wheel you can run a 35x11.5x20 if you run the correct wheel offset like a 18x9 with a +18 offset you can run either a 35 or 37 in a 12.5x18 also make sure to pick a correct load rated tire for your truck. It has a P rated tire from the factory which is a passenger load rated tire or 4 ply. Make sure to find a C load or D load tire not a E load or it will stiffen up the ride.

I started building out my 2024 GX 550 Overtrail the moment I received it. Although I loved getting one of the very first deliveries, it was difficult to build out since there were very few third party manufacturers making parts. Westcott had a collar lift so I started with that. To my surprise, the collar lift was inexpensive and significantly improved the handling and performance of my GX. So I decided I was going to use Westcott for my entire build. They outfitted my GX with 35" Toyo tires, Method Bead Grip wheels, a Westcott roof rack, Westcott rock rails, Westcott molle panels, Victory 4x4 steel skid plates, Victory front & rear bumpers, dual swing out carriers on the rear bumper.and Westcott ditch lite brackets with Rigid lights. When King recently came out with a full suspension system for the GX 550, they removed the collar lift and installed the new King package along with beefier Dobinson springs for the rear. During the installation process they discovered that the King suspension front brackets wouldn't work on the Overtrail because of a conflict with the eKDSS. They worked with me and King to resolve the issue and now King makes a separate set of brackets for the Overtrail. I'm really excited that they are going to design bumpers for the Overtrail because I'm having some issues with the Victory products. I think Victory will resolve the issues, but it's reassuring to know that Westcott will have an offering in the near future. These guys are among the very best in the business and I can't wait to see what else they come up with for the GX 550.

Many of our lift kits now ship within 7-10 days. Some of our newer kits are a bit further out, but are no longer 6-8 weeks. We “could” take the easy route and make this stuff overseas like so many companies do, but have chosen to try to find solutions to our lead time problem from sourcing help from other small companies within the US so that we can maintain our quality standards for ourselves and our customers.
