Hello, I am quite confused right now because I am watching some videos on you tube like IELTS advantage over there he is saying you need to be as much as natural and you simple words but if I watched your speaking mock tests over there need use high vocabulary and complex grammar and less natural getting high band score And please advise me which one I should follow
@SurprisedCaptainHat-eh3oo6 күн бұрын
Both, you should not be like a robot trying to use high level vocab like chatgpt. Nor you should be natural but with very simple words that you repeat many times while the conversation(being natural is really good quality that proves that you can communicate with native speakers under normal circumstances, but if you use very simple words 'only' it would be bad. You can use them but there must be some good words. Im not telling learn 4 synonyms for each word, but rather you should know at least 1-2 synonyms for each words. For instance, the topic is about boredom, you used word boring and it is fine but in the next questions you again used that word repeatively. So you should use words such us Dull, tedious or monotonous, while being natural, do not focus compeletely on words and naturality. it should be 50%/50

To me, one of the best books l have ever read is " why nations fail" which explains about the origins of power , prosperity and. Highly- developed civilizations. I used to read half of whole chapter a day . I would highly recommend this book for those who wants to be economist
