The square of (-1) is (1), because ((-1) \times (-1) = 1). However, when we talk about (i), the imaginary unit, the situation is different. By definition, (i) is such that (i^2 = -1). By definition i^2 = −1

I guess it's x=7.5 To solve the equation , you can combine like terms: 1. Combine and : 4x = 30 2. Divide both sides by 4 to isolate : x = \frac{30}{4} = 7.5 So, the solution is . X=7.5

Is the D=(b^2)-4ac thing just to find out if the answer is a complex answer? Cause I was just taught to use the Quadratic Formula, which is what the x=[-b±SQRT(D)]/2a is.

1 to the fifth power equals 1 1-1 equals zero. also zero to the fifth power equals zero zero minus one is still zero so either will work. So much more simple than half an hour of inconclusive math.

So let's take 2 and 4 and make 8: x! = 2*3*3*4*5*5*6*6*7*8 Now let's take 3 and 3 and make 9: x! = 2*4*5*5*6*6*7*8*9 Now let's decompose a 6 into 2 and 3: x! = 2*2*3*4*5*5*6*7*8*9 Now let's take 2 and 5 and make 10: x! = 2*3*4*5*6*7*8*9*10 And there we have it: x = 10. 10! / 6! = 7!. So let's see, it took maybe 2 minutes to type all that? I don't see how I could possibly stretch it out to 11 minutes.

Without W function you could have immediately have mentioned that this is an increasing and continuous function - estimate te value through Newton-Raphson. Don’t see the point of ‘solving’ when you need approximation anyways.

Easier method: Step 1:3^x=30-x Step 2:log 3^x=log(30-x) Step 3:xlog3=log30/logx Step 4:xlogx=log(30-3) Step 5:xlogx=log27 Step 6:xlogx=log 3³ Step 7:xlogx=3log3 By comparison X=3 I am in grade 12 cbse

The simple approach. Substitute x=1/2+z and y=1/2-z into the second equation: (1/2+z)(1/2-z)=1 or z^2=-3/4. Thus, z=±i√3/2, x=(1±i√3)/2, and y=(1∓i√3)/2
