I am really, really impressed with this machine. It even came with a little ice scoop! I wish I would have gotten it a long time ago. I've only had it for a couple of months but so far, no issues. If you're on the fence, pick this one! You won't be disappointed!

Vevor icemaker,the biggest one for me is the lack of alert when the water is low or the ice is full. You have to babysit these things anyway, as they are NOT freezers and your ice will just melt if you don't regularly transfer it to the freezer, but I get busy and have let my ice melt and refreeze a few times LOL. Once it says low water, you can refill it but it will never restart on its own. Only way to get it to go again is to turn it off and back on. WHY? IDK maybe mine is defective. The first couple batches of ice are always small and about half the count. I am not even sure how this happens as I know how the unit works. Mystery. It can be pretty loud during some of its phases.

The recirculation pump of the Vevor ice maker is not working. I contacted their customer service and with their help, the problem was improved.

Ice maker makes a soft sound, kinda like a white noise machine it’s not very overwhelming like some people make it seem. And while the ice is wet occasionally, it lasts a decent amount of time in my drinks. I got this as a Mother’s Day gift for my mom and I have to say I am quite pleased. I think out of all the ones I’ve looked at this is the better option for an affordable ice maker!

Have you found a solution? It sounds like the compressor is not working. If you have a clamp gauge, you can check the current consumption on the wires leading to the compressor. If you have just received it and it is still under warranty, you should call customer service and let them know before it's too late.

I got this ice maker so I can have ice ready to use for the family. I make a few batches and put the ice in the freezer once its full to continue making more. The ice maker works fast and great!

Smart design holds a good amount of ice, and uses the melting ice water to make more ice, thicker and very quickly.Very small, portable (lighter, has a handle), cheap, relatively quiet, compared to others.If you make a little ice before parties, or long dinner or drinks, then keep it running, it can definitely keep up with demand, for a family or group of friends.

Really produces ice quickly. Great for parties . I’m taking with me to a cabin and the refrigerator doesn’t have an ice maker. Just need to empty the basket into a gallon freezer bag, pop it into the freezer and keep going. Doesn’t take long to have all you need till the next time. Also great to fill up your cooler!

The only problem is, the ice sticks to each other when trying to grab ice that I put in the freezer after an hour. If you leave it in the ice maker it sticks but not as much as in the freezer. But because everyone at home likes ice in their drinks, its not enough with what is produced to the top in the icemaker so thats why I move the ice to the freezer.

I was excited to try this ice maker, but unfortunately, it didn't quite live up to my expectations. While it does produce ice quickly (9 cubes in 6 minutes is impressive!), the ice itself doesn't last long in water. Perhaps you have set the wrong parameters, you should be able to ask their service personnel how to set the parameters.

I feel like a lot of people made some of these out to be horrible. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but this Vevor ice maker is quite good for what it was worth. The ice actually lasts for a decent amount of time, and even if it does melt the water goes right back into tank and gets reused for new ice. And it makes a decent amount of ice each time and once it gets going it gets going quickly. I live in a house of 4 and we go through a lot of ice, the ice holder may seem small but it works very well as it holds a bit of ice before it gets full.

Why does my old machine keep ice cubes in trays all day long, and the ice melts so quickly? We left it at home for about a month without using it. Take it to the store and connect it. Currently, it has gone through three cycles. Water is flowing, but freezing is slightly slower. I checked the water temperature flowing out of the square plate and it was 41 degrees Fahrenheit????

I was hesitant about buying this ice maker, even though I had been contemplating getting one for a long time. There were just so many to choose from that I was worried I would pick a lemon. This one had a 10.00 off coupon so I picked it for that reason, and I'm so glad I did! It has made so many pounds of ice since I got it!

Watching the video, you can't see where the specific problem lies. You should communicate more with their manufacturers and ask for some usage guidelines.

The ice is perfect. I love that it's soft and chewable! It keeps up with our demand, which is 3 adults and 2 kids. I let it run and fill a couple of gallon bags and then turn it off till I need it again. It's quiet, until it dumps the ice that it's made, but even that isn't so loud that it bothers me.

Why does the ice melt so fast my old machine kept ice in the tray all day long

We have had ours sitting at home unused for about a month. Brought it to the shop and hooked it up. It has gone through 3 cycles now. Water is flowing but it’s no making ice. I checked the temp of the water water coming out over the square plates and temp is 71f. ?????

Had the same problem, ended up being compressor and only a little over a year old. DO NOT BUY these ice machines compressors are cheap.

Sounds like the compressor isn't working. If you have a clamp meter, you can check the amp draw on the wires running to the compressor.
