Packages are getting less and less durable and thinner. The customer will get partially unpackaged food, in thin packages, that the customer will have to fold themselves.

Why try to build a robot arm to work with existing old style fryers? Why not automate the whole process by redesigning the fry and package system from beginning to end? Frozen fries in a hopper, portioned and dropped into oil pulled out after the designated time drain, salt and funnel the finished product to retail containers? No need to build a human arm shape. Sell the automated system as a whole suite of combined machines to put fries our to customers.

If flippys owners get greedy over the restaurants, they may start charging more money. Then the restaurants might want human workers back. It's not like companies didn't raise prices once they dominate the market before, so this situation could happen.
