Long before Trump made a joke of the phrase "YOU'RE FIRED" for TRPs, Truman actually dictated it for saving the world from a nuclear war. Arguably the greatest American president post-WW2(maybe tied with Eisenhower for the same title).

That was the second battle of Kursk, there were two million casualties, and it was a German counteroffensive that was never meant to break Russian lines, just to slow down the Soviet advance. Yes German high command hoped they might achieve a breakthrough and smash Soviet lines but it was meant to be a defensive attack to slow down the red army.

Your show is supposed to focus on the F-14 yet in many of the scenes or pictures you kept showing the F-18. This throws your credibility into question.

Those shown in the video are not Beefeaters. 'Beefeaters' or official title 'Yeoman Warders' are ceremonial guardians of the Tower of London with a focus on guiding and interacting with visitors, as well as preserving the history and heritage of the Tower. Yeomen Warders are retired senior non-commissioned officers of the British Armed Forces.

Dude you really missed a-lot about the Hellcat here. You'd have done yourself a great service if you had watched every Hellcat video that you could find before you took this on, sorry but this is a failed video. The list of what you missed is SOOO long that I'm not going to even attempt to point out all of the missed info. There are 2 things that most if not all videos miss about the Hellcat however: 1. Its readiness factor was extremely favorable as on average over 98% of active Hellcats were turnkey "ready to fight" at any given moment. (A war winning stat to be sure). 2. It was a flying tank just like the P-47 of which it sometimes outweighed for its armor depending on which variants were compared. The P-47 did however outweigh it in the long run but they exchanged being heavier than one another "a few times" throughout a time progression. In other words, it was indeed a flying tank that could absorb huge amounts of damage and still return the pilots home "just and very much alike the P-47" but with its large wing area could easily outmaneuver the P-47. 3. (Bonus) It had more wing area than any other "single engine fighter" including all WWll single seat single engine fighters of any and all nations. Correction: It didn't go to Korea, at least not in any significant numbers: the Corsair went on to Korea and mostly because Korea was using biplanes to harass our military barracks at night and jets couldn't do much against them. Corsairs did shoot down a few Korean jets however. There's SOOO much more that you missed here. Sorry but thumbs down on this video for its lack of information as well as for its lack of Hellcat footage. You are better than this! Robert

Spain was P.O.'d that Britain was 'competing' with their takeover of the Western Hemisphere... 'Before 1518, the slave trade was highly regulated and consisted mostly of slaves being sent from Spain to the Americas directly by the Spanish government.' Of course, the Portuguese & Dutch sub-contracted with Spain in their African exports...

Interesting and fun fact: When debating some of the greatest fighters of WWII, including the Republic P-47 Thunderbolt, the Vought F4U Corsair, or the Grumman F6F Hellcat, they all had one thing in common- the Pratt & Whitney R-2800 Double Wasp 18 cylinder radial engine.

Nothing complicated about it. He witnessed the Revolution as a child. He defeated the British at New Orleans. He defeated the Seminoles and shipped the natives to Oklahoma. You people think the natives were warm, cuddly beings. They were bloodthirsty savages. They perpetrated genocide against white settlers from the beginning. Powatan attacked the James Town settlers. The natives lived centuries of war against each other. Naturally, they warred against the new white tribe. Also, Jackson told John C. Calhoun that the South's so-called nullification doctrine would meet his sword. He kept the already rebellious south in line during his Presidency. He was a great President. If he had lived forty years later and instead of Lincoln, we might have avoided the civil war. Lincoln was a boob who sparked a conflagration.

His legacy was not complex. He was ontologically evil. He is the preferred president of all white supreamcists because he was isolationist, populist, and imperialist. Exterminating brown people at home and letting the states do as they like, while oppressing millions abroad. Rot in hell.

The US had air superiority over the region at that time, and the Nazis planned on attacking in bad weather so the US surveillance planes could not see the troop movements, or send supporting aircraft to prevent or slow their surprise attack. It was the other way around.
